Review: Better than refresher class - I used this book to get ready for my masters exam here in Vermont, I learned more from this book in two month than I learned in four years of my apprenticeship classes. Then there are 12 25 question tests to follow and lastly there are two 100 question test at the end, I studied this book from the front cover to the first 100 question test. The only thing I didn’t do is the last 100 question test because I ran out of time. I took my masters exam yesterday and passed it the first time thanks to this book. This book is worth every penny and in my opinion better than a refresher class. Also I should note, this is the first time I ever felt the need to write a review on anything! Better than refresher class
I used this book to get ready for my masters exam here in Vermont, I learned more from this book in two month than I learned in four years of my apprenticeship classes. The first part of the study guid is all the equations and breaks them down to learn how to use them. They have small practice tests for each section as you complete them. Then there are 12 25 question tests to follow and lastly there are two 100 question test at the end, I studied this book from the front cover to the first 100 question test. The only thing I didn’t do is the last 100 question test because I ran out of time. I took my masters exam yesterday and passed it the first time thanks to this book. Easily understood
I used this book to prepare for the Md master electrician exam. I like how the book was easy to understand, and didn’t overcomplicate things. It’s very straightforward and laid out well.

Nice study guide
It’s a good study guide for master electrician test

same as another version w/additional chapter
This book only has 1 additional chapter to what is included in "2017 Practical Calculations for Electricians". There are no other differences between this book & the journeyman's version and the reviews for this book get buried (Traci Livingston 10/8/21 & Daniel Doll 3/21/22) most likely because they gave 1 star reviews. I gave it 3 because it can be valuable ~ more so if you buy this instead of version, (2017 Practical Calculations for Electricians by Holder, Ray, Brown Technical Publications Inc.).

Don't waste your money
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. I have a degree in electronics and had a Master electrician license that I let go and decided to test back into. This book is riddled with mistakes. One test question for example has you do a conduit fill calculation that has the wire as bare, but the answer key shows the wire with THWN insulation. No way you can get that right. An answer to a different question shows they derated a conductor as though there were 4 conductors in the conduit but there were only 3. I could go on and on. On page 226 it says "See page 182 for an example....." the example is on 228. Lots of pages has that. It is a total mess. Even some of their simple math is incorrect, that makes another missed test question. I'll add a photo and then stop. This book (and from what I hear, the 2020 and 2023) are all terrible.
