Son has just turned 9 and loves space, this is a great lego upgrade. He completed it himself over a few days, it's educational and gets him off YouTube for a few hours. Didn't disappoint.

Excellent Kit perfectly and correctly shows the how the tilt of the Earth causes the seasons. I really enjoyed building this kit and did so over a period of four days. There are are lots of interlocking gears and its amazing how well they merge together to give smooth motions of the Earth and Moon . I'd suggest to Lego that they next do the four giant moons of Jupiter or Saturn and some its its moons. Get going Lego!

We bought this for our 8 year old son for Christmas as he asked for a Lego set and has shown an interest in space recently. It is marketed for age 10+ which I think is pretty accurate, he could have probably managed to build it on his own but it was a fun thing for him and his dad to build together. We’re very impressed with the quality and functionality of it. When you turn a handle the moon revolves around the earth and the earth around the sun. There are stickers for the months and to show whether we see a full moon, half moon etc. which is a really nice detail. It’s a little bigger than I was expecting but still small enough to sit on a shelf. It’s nice and sturdy once built and has feet to stop it sliding around. As far as Lego sets go I think it was a pretty reasonable price. I’d definitely recommend this set to others!

A very well put together kit, decently sized, fit's just right on a shelf when I'm not disassembling/reassembling it for fun. Definitely requires some skill in putting together, a few mistakes were made that took a while to correct, but it's view on my shelf is worth it.

Grandchildren loved this, as did the adults. A favourite for a long time to come. Bought it with the lighting kit which enhanced the finished model.

Der Aufbau hat etwas Zeit in Anspruch genommen, war aber gut machbar und hat sogar Spaß gemacht. Alle Teile waren vollständig und haben gut zusammengepasst. Besonders schön ist, dass Kinder sich lange damit beschäftigen können und dabei gleichzeitig etwas lernen. Unser Kind hat sich sehr darüber gefreut und spielt gerne damit. Insgesamt ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

It’s not only fun but also a cool display piece. Cons: Sticker application: The only minor downside is the use of stickers for the month labels and the moon phases on the Earth section. They’re long and thin, so you need to be extra careful applying them, but they’re not too hard to adjust if needed. Je n'ai pas l'habitude de laisser des commentaires, mais ce Lego est tellement génial que je vais faire une exception. Acheté pour mon fils de 9 ans qui s'était désintéressé des legos depuis quelques années déjà, il a adoré le construire et le faire marcher. La difficulté est idéale: juste assez de passages difficiles pour présenter un vrai défi (et quelques frustrations!), mais jamais de problèmes insurmontables. L'objet final est magnifique et étonnament sophistiqué: les trois astres tournent simultanément avec une manivelle! Super pour parler des éclipses, des saisons, des cycles lunaires (j'avoue que ce n'était pas mon but: pour moi un jouet doit rester un jouet et je ne suis pas très porté sur les jouets pédagogiques en général, mais pour les parents qui le sont: à bon entendeur!) Depuis sa construction, notre système solaire Lego technic trône sur la table du salon et inspire le respect de tous, même de son frère de 5 ans qui vient diligemment tourner la manivelle plusieurs fois par jour. Cela change des camions et voitures de course qui dominent la gamme des Lego technic! Ce modèle deviendra culte, c'est certain.
