FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 2 Combo Camera Gimbal with Built-in AI Tracking

This thing is so amazing, we bought a second one for my wife. To say this is the be all end all gimbal for cell phones would be an understatement. The AI in itself is amazing, the grip, angling and handle are just years ahead of the standard gimbals. I love the design and how easy it is to get low shots and shoot back up to normal height. Setup was easy and the app is helpful with everything. Feiyutech has really outdone themselves this time. If you use this style of gimbal for bigger cameras, then you'll really appreciate the same idea behind this. It will handle light cameras as well. I did test this with a Sony A7rIV. However you are maxing it out depending on the lens you put on it.

I’ve had this for about a year. It was hard to set up. It’s not stable. And does not work well with Sonys. It’s hard to figure out. It can’t handle heavy cameras. The video tutorials are not helpful if you don’t have a tiny camera. I don’t recommend this for professional use unfortunately.

The gesture controls work surprisingly well, allowing me to start tracking myself without needing to dive into a smartphone app. It’s incredibly useful for solo shooters and vlogging. Ergonomics & Handling: The signature "Scorp" underslung grip design makes a massive difference for low-angle shots. It shifts the weight perfectly so your wrists don't fatigue during long shoots. Touchscreen Interface: The built-in touchscreen is bright and responsive, making it quick to switch modes (like pan-follow or lock) without memorizing complex button combinations. Build Quality: Even though it’s lightweight and compact enough for a travel bag, it feels robust and handles the payload of a smaller mirrorless camera setup without any motor strain. Room for Improvement: Setup & Balancing: If you are new to gimbals, the initial balancing process can take some patience. The quick-release system helps, but the manual could be a bit clearer on balancing adjustments for heavier phone cases or specific lenses. App Connectivity: While the gimbal functions great standalone, the companion app can occasionally be finicky when syncing for advanced time-lapse features. A quick restart usually fixes it, but it's worth noting. Bottom Line: If you want a single, highly capable 3-axis gimbal that can seamlessly bridge the gap between your phone, an action cam, and a mirrorless setup, the SCORP Mini 2 is a fantastic investment. It loses one star just for the initial learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, the production value it adds to your videos is undeniable. Highly recommended for content creators!

⭐️ Overall: 7.5/10 I bought the FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 2 Combo as I’ve been getting more into videography, especially weddings, couples films, and lifestyle sessions. And I have THOUGHTS. 😂 First—the stabilization when everything is balanced and working correctly is SO nice. It makes handheld video look significantly smoother and gives footage that more professional, cinematic feel I was looking for. I also really like that it's relatively compact and that I can use it with my Canon M50 Mark II. The different shooting modes give me a lot more creative options for following couples, walking shots, detail shots, and movement. BUTTTT... 😅 This thing has probably been one of the most confusing pieces of camera equipment I've learned so far. Balancing it correctly took me a while to understand, especially when changing lenses. You can't just throw your camera on it and start filming—you have to make sure everything is positioned and balanced correctly first. And depending on the camera + lens combination, getting the weight distribution right can be a PAIN. 😂 Once I finally get everything balanced and calibrated, though? 😍 I understand why people love gimbals. The footage is SO much smoother than trying to walk around filming completely handheld. I wouldn't necessarily recommend buying one the day before your first videography job and expecting to instantly know what you're doing. 😂 Give yourself time to practice with it, learn the different modes, and figure out how your specific camera setup balances. PROS: ✨ Smooth, professional-looking footage ✨ Compact compared with larger gimbals ✨ Multiple stabilization modes ✨ Great for moving/walking shots ✨ Works well with my M50 Mark II setup ✨ Lots of creative possibilities for videography CONS: 😅 Definitely a learning curve 😅 Balancing can be frustrating at first 😅 Changing lenses can mean rebalancing everything 😅 Heavier/larger lens setups can be trickier 😅 Not something I'd want to learn for the first time during an actual wedding Overall, I really do like it. I just think this is one of those pieces of equipment where practice makes ALL the difference. The more I use it, the more comfortable I get—and I'm really excited to see what I can create with it as I continue growing in videography. 🤍🎥 ⭐️ 7.5/10 Would I buy it again? Yes—but I'd give myself a whole afternoon to figure the thing out first. 😂

I am a vlogger and I review motorcycles, cars, and tech. I have a Sony ZV-1, which has really bad video stabilization. Every time I'm holding the camera on someone in an interview, it's shaky (even after I further stabilize it while editing). So I had to get a gimbal. The Feiyutech had the best price and feature combination. It was easy to set up. And the video quality is night and day better with the gimbal. Update: Changed to 1 star because of app support on IOS doesn't exist. The App can't properly record and save videos of lengths longer than 6mins. Was filming my daughters play at school and every time I stopped recording using the Feiyu On app, it said video save error and didn't prompt me to save it to a different location like any app trying to save something should it just threw the video away. So stay away from their hardware because many advance features need the saftware app to use. They are not "DockKit" enabled so you can't use the gimbal to control zoom or focus in other apps. Their hardware is locked to their software. Its such a shame as they did a good job with hardware.. but actual reliability usage isn't something they strive for!

I brought this recently and mounted all the items its worked at the initial stage and later after single or second time usage it says overload protection. Not sure why it says need to figure it out.

Works extremely well. I have used it with a Canon T7, smart phone & small 4K video camera, all fit well. Take the time to ballance it before use as per the directions.

Es muy bueno pero batallas un poco con la canon sl2 y lente 50mm considerando que no excede el peso indicado si se mueve un poco rápido pierde la estabilidad

The goods arrived quickly as per Prime delivery conditions. I was a bit disappointed that the item did not come with the storage case; this was not very well explained in the add. The gimble is a bit harder to set up initially; although the tutorial on the site is extensive, it's very hard to follow due to the sound level if the background music. It's early days yet so I won't have a real review till some time. The quality of the item itself and accessories is very good.
