Brilliant earphones.
These openear headphones are my first dip into this style. Whilst I will be using my TOZO NC3 as a reference point, this is not a companion review. I use headphones daily for the gym and am always looking for the perfect set. I was apprehensive on both sound quality and fit of these, not because of the brand but more so the design. I have worn these for some weeks now and put them through their paces in the gym. I initially found them fiddly to put on and get into the right position, mainly due to the more simple design I’ve been used to. However, after a couple of uses, it soon became second nature and now they just seem to slot into place. The sound quality is excellent and paired with the app, you can set your own preferences. I was surprised as to how clear they are especially given that they are not like the more traditional earbuds with silicone tips. They are not designed to, nor do they cancel out other noises. However, once these are positioned correctly, ambient and background noise is just that. You can concentrate on your music whilst still knowing what’s going on around you. These have not fallen out or moved during any workout and the functions are easily operated even with sweaty fingers. Having a slightly bigger surface area helps with this. Another benefit is no stress or irritation in your ear. I am sure this is also healthy and more gentle on hearing Battery life is very good and with the clear display on the case, you should be able to monitor when these need charging. You also get a nice little repeated noise in your ear once the charge is too low. Connection to Bluetooth was easy and worked first time. For me, it still comes down to what type of workout I’m doing, whether there’s any classes and excess music in the background as to which ones I wear. I always keep both in my bag so I have a choice. Another good choice.

Far Better Than Expected
I’ve been using these headphones for a while and they’ve turned out better than I expected. The open-ear design is comfortable and avoids the pressure you get with in-ear buds. The adjustable hooks make them secure without being awkward, and once you’ve worn them a couple of times they just slot into place naturally. Sound quality is solid. Vocals are clear, bass is present without being muddy, and they work well for both music and podcasts. They don’t block out background noise completely, but that’s part of the design. It’s actually useful when running or working in shared spaces because you stay aware of what’s going on around you. Battery life is strong. A short charge gives hours of use, and the case display makes it easy to keep track of power levels. They last through a full day without issue, and the quick-charge feature is genuinely handy when you’re about to head out. Build quality feels good. They’re lightweight but sturdy enough for daily use. The app integration adds flexibility with EQ settings, which is nice if you want to fine-tune things. Overall, they balance comfort, practicality, and performance. They’re not trying to be premium studio gear, but for everyday use they’re excellent value. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants headphones that don’t dig into your ears, stay put during exercise, and deliver clear, balanced sound without breaking the bank.

Quality and comfort
Sound quality is excellent. These buds are great if like me you find inner ear ones uncomfortable after prolonged use, usually anything over a couple of hours. These are easy to adjust and fit over your ear so won't cancel outside noise but the sound quality is excellent and I've tried quite a few in my search for the perfect fit for comfort. My only gripe and hence the dropped star is that there is no indication on the charging case how much power is left in it, minor but would be handy to know if it's about to run dry. Run time of the buds could also be improved, I have bought cheaper that's lasted longer.

The most useful/adaptable headphones I have ever owned.
These over the ear/open headphones from Tozo are superb! I have been using them daily since they arrived over two weeks ago, probably averaging 2 hours a day as I listen to a lot of podcasts. The sound quality is really, really good and the clarity doesn't drop when they are turned up to full volume which is very loud. In fact I was able to listen to a podcast perfectly well while cutting the grass with my electric lawnmower which kicks out 91db. I was amazed by this as I normally have to put on a pair of large over the ear noise cancelling headphones when cutting the grass. I think it is the quality of the speaker drivers + the dual-axis (up/down + in/out) adjustability of the earpiece (see video) that enables you to get a great fit and block out the background noise when desired. However, if I move the earpiece one notch away from my ear and turn the volume down slightly I can hear background noise perfectly well. This means I can also listen to a podcast around the house while chatting with my family and on my walk to work while still aware of the city noise/ any danger around me. So for me these headphones give you the excellent sound quality & isolation you normally only get from in-ear headphones PLUS the safety & sociability of hearing the background noise you normally only get with open-ear headphones. They also look great and are very well built. Love them!

Amazing comfort and stellar sound
Got these mainly for comfort, and they absolutely deliver. I can wear them all day without even noticing, and they stay put no matter what I’m doing—no constant adjusting. The sound really impressed me too. Even though they don’t sit in your ear, the highs and mids are super clear, and there's decent bass. Not on par with in-ear buds, but way more comfortable. I also love that I can still hear what’s going on around me—perfect for the office when I don’t want to keep pausing music to chat. Battery life has been great so far. Been using them daily for a week and still haven’t had to recharge. The case is small and pocket-friendly too. Overall, super happy. If you care about comfort and want good sound at a fair price, these are a great pick.

Regular earbuds are never my favorite for long listening because after a while I always start noticing that little piece sitting inside my ears, so these TOZO open-ear earbuds were a much better match for me because they sit around my ears instead of having a little piece pushed inside, which is exactly the part that usually starts bothering me with regular earbuds. These earbuds fit me very well, stayed in place properly, and were light enough that I never got to that familiar point where my ears started asking for a break. Also, the sound came through much better than I expected, with clear audio and a fuller sound than I usually expect from open-ear earbuds. At the same time, this kind of design still sounds different from deep in-ear earbuds, since these leave the ear open instead of sealing everything off, though I like that tradeoff because I can still hear what is going on around me while listening. Getting them connected by Bluetooth was easy, and I had no trouble getting started. I also went into the TOZO app, and that part was simple too because you register, connect the earbuds through the app, and then you can get into settings for sound, voice, controls, translation, recording, and more from there. I like having the app there because it gives me more to adjust if I want it, though I also noticed that some of the features on the free side are limited each month unless you want to move to a paid plan. The app side does a lot with these earbuds once everything is set up, because they are not only there for music. Inside the app I found live translation, meeting recording, voice chat, sound controls, and EQ settings, so someone who wants them for work, travel, or conversations in different languages could get much more out of them than from a basic pair of Bluetooth earbuds. The charging case has a battery display on the front, and I like being able to see the charge level there instead of guessing. One thing to know with this shape is that taking them out of the case and turning them into position may take a little practice at first, though after that it becomes more natural. A few things I noticed while using them: • The open-ear design was much more comfortable for me than regular earbuds • They stayed in place well once adjusted • The Bluetooth setup was easy • The sound is clear and fuller than I was expecting from open-ear earbuds • The TOZO app adds much more than basic music controls • Some features on the free plan have limits • The case has a front battery display For me, the whole point with these earbuds is that my ears are still comfortable after wearing them for a while. That matters a lot when I am listening longer and do not want to keep adjusting them, because I can just relax and listen instead of getting tired of having something pushed into my ears.

I picked these up before a short trip, mostly out of curiosity about the translation feature, and ended up using them more than I expected. Pairing was quick, and I like that the case shows the battery level so I don’t have to guess when to charge. The open ear design feels different at first, but after wearing them for a bit they’re actually pretty comfortable and don’t make my ears feel blocked. I tried the translation feature in a casual conversation while traveling, and it worked well enough to get the point across without awkward pauses. It’s not perfect, but it definitely helped break the ice and made simple interactions easier. For regular use, I’ve been wearing them during calls and while listening to music, and the sound is clear. Calls come through cleanly, and I didn’t have people asking me to repeat myself. One small thing is in noisy areas you have to pay a bit more attention since they don’t seal your ears, but that’s expected with this style. Overall they’ve been convenient for both travel and daily use, and I like having that extra translation feature when I need it.

I have tried other earphone products from Tozo and they were all good, so I have grown a high respect for the brand. This one feels not as good as the others, but given the price of $20 CAD at the time of writing, it is certainly a very good product for the price range. Let's get something out of the way first: although it says "single earbud" in the title on the product page, it is in fact a pair of earbuds. And the next obvious observation is that it is somewhat bulky in terms of its looks. It doesn't bear weight on the ear or make you uncomfortable at all, but they just look large. In addition, their case is also larger than most other earbuds. But, in exchange, you get a good sound quality at a bargain price. As with all open ear concept buds, you can't get the fancy ANR noise reduction. But in exchange, you can just pause the music and start talking to (or listening to) the people around you without having to get them off your ear. That's quite an advantage if you are running daily chores and keep talking to people around you with short intervals. It fits comfortably on your ears. The buds have some degree of rotation so that you can direct them to your earholes for all ear sizes. It does not put any stress in your earholes. In fact, you barely feel them. They remained comfortably on the ears. Sound was not the best, but still quite good, especially considering the price range, and there were no sound quality issues with the open ear style; however, I have some concern over the privacy of my conversations when I use them to talk on the phone. They are not so great on bass, but they provide good trebles. And you can do some equalizer settings using the app. The app seems okay. It helps you with some settings you would otherwise not be able to change, like the equalizer and the touch control setting. I would have thought that with such large earbuds, the touch control would be quite easy to locate and tap, but to my surprise, I had difficulty in locating the touch area quite often, but it works fine when you tap the correct area. The app helps you program single-, double-, and triple-taps, as well as long presses. The charger case has a digital display to show the remaining charge level. The earrings fit easily into the case, but you have to rotate the earbuds to their correct angle with the hooks in order to fit them into the slots. They are easy to remove too. Overall, I am quite happy with these at the current $20 price level. They are not the best or my favorite earbuds, but they are good for that price range. However, if you are considering this item, I would strongly urge you to also check the Open EarRing version from the same TOZO brand.
