Review: Solid Tablet That Punches Above Its Weight
I’ll be real—I was debating between this and a much more expensive iPad, but I’m glad I went with the A9+. I mainly needed something for watching YouTube in bed, browsing the web, and the occasional Zoom call, and it handles all of that perfectly. The first thing I noticed was the screen. For a "budget" tablet, the 90Hz refresh rate makes a massive difference. Everything just feels smooth when you’re scrolling through apps; it doesn't have that annoying lag or "ghosting" my old tablet had. Rating: 5/5 Stars - Honestly, better than I expected for the price I’ll be real—I was debating between this and a much more expensive iPad, but I’m glad I went with the A9+. The Pros: The Speakers: Usually, tablet speakers sound tiny and tinny, but these are actually loud and clear. It’s got four of them, so the sound follows you even if you're holding it in landscape mode. Design: The Graphite finish looks really sleek. It’s thin and has a bit of weight to it that makes it feel expensive. Battery: I’ve been getting a solid couple of days of casual use out of a single charge. The Cons (just being honest): The Storage: 64GB fills up fast if you download movies for a flight. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap microSD card at the same time—the fact that you can actually expand the storage is a huge plus. No Wall Plug: It comes with the cable but no actual power brick. Luckily I have a million of them around the house, but just a heads up if you don't. Bottom Line: If you're looking for a "Pro" device to do heavy video editing, this probably isn't it. But if you want a reliable, snappy tablet for media and everyday stuff, you really can’t beat this for the money. Definitely worth it.

Galaxy Gem!
The Galaxy Tab A9 is the first tablet that I have purchased in just over a DECADE; and it's entirely worth the money! The performance is what you would expect for a lower end device, but that doesn't mean that the performance isn't good, quite the opposite actually. I use the tablet for note taking (Samsung Notes is the only app you need!), watching Netflix & Prime Video. I also play a variety of casual games (I've been a Gamer for over 30 years and I would never use a mobile device as my main console, so for more graphically intensive games I use my home console), and the A9 handles that beautifully! I play Stardew Valley, Cat Quest II, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Good Pizza, Great Pizza & the list goes on, lol! I've played these games using the on-screen controls, as well as connecting my Xbox Series X/S controller too, and both work very well. I also use the A9 for digital colouring and it is a joy to use for this purpose. The screen resolution is great for me, but it must be noted that I have terrible eyesight, so most things unless completely horrible will look good to me. The A9 is very easy to use and even though I hadn't had a tablet in such a long time, there was no learning curve for me. I also have an S21 FE 5G, so that could contribute to how easy I found it to use this device. The A9 isn't the fastest tablet, but I knew that going in, and because of how I use it, that doesn't bother me. If you're looking for a faster tablet then I'd recommend spending the extra money, and buying the Tab A9+. The speed is sufficient for what you'll use it for, so don't let that worry you. The touchscreen is responsive enough, with only the occasional lag and that usually comes with stylus use, as the styli are impacted by things that might be on the screen or stylus itself, so keeping both clean is essential. This is a fantastic little device and I'm even happier because I was able to get it on sale. I'll be buying the Tab A9+ as well, because I do want a larger display, but this is a wonderful reintroduction to the world of tablet's and I do not regret my purchase at all.

Great value for money
Absolutely quality for the price . Gorgeous screen quality, great for watching movies or streaming videos. Look, I only got this strictly to watch Netflix and YouTube, and it does the job well. If you purchase this expecting a smooth and snappy piece of kit, one that rivals flagship Samsung and Apple tablets, you’ll be disappointed. But in terms of having a tablet that you can take with you and watch your favourite shows while your partner is watching on the TV, this does a suitable job. Highly recommend it.

Decent option for the basics
I needed a more portable tablet for on the go and this Samsung Tab A9 has been useful for my needs. Aside from the much more expensive iPad Mini, the options for smaller tablets are few and far between and I didn’t really want to go for one of the obscure brands. This does the job if you’re looking for something to watch Netflix etc and browsing/social media. The display is pretty good for streaming with decent enough sound. I don’t use it for gaming but have played Roblox with my kids and it’s acceptable but on some games you may need to turn the quality settings down to prevent lagging. Watching my kids play on their iPads and how smooth it is you can really see the difference but this tablet is not bad for light gaming I’d say. For the budget price you can’t go wrong with this if you’re looking for a portable tablet to watch content on the move and I would recommend it.

Perfect tablet for the price .
Perfect device for a young gamer , someone with smaller hands or just a device to get you by . Son uses this for his YouTube or playing Roblox and other games , perfect size for him at 9 years old , responsive , screen looks great , easy to set up and performs really well, no issues with the touch screen or connecting to WiFi . I use it sometimes for looking up guides or for use with my guitars and apps required or tab and it's perfect , bought this with a heavy duty protector to avoid any accidents , and as with many Samsung products , cannot fault them at all.

Perfect for my needs
I needed a device that can run qDslrDashboard. I decided to get the 64Gb version of this tablet, as I didn't need a huge screen (already have 12.9" ipad pro) and only want to be able to use it to control my camera. It arrived a couple of hours ago and immediately, I've got it setup and running, have been able to connect it to my Canon 70D via Wifi and get it fully working. I just checked the Tech specs and found that there's a GPS built in, so I can use this tablet to record GPX files, and use that to add location data to my photos if I want to. Pleasently surprised to be able to insert a MicroSD Card too, so I can use that to save data rather than use the internal storage, perfect for the GPS Trace. I wasn't expecting face recognition to unlock the tablet. Some people will say that this tablet is a bit sluggish. However, I've already put it up again my iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd and 3rd gen) and frankly, it does not feel slow at all. For my needs this tablet is probably over spec'd which in a nutshell means that it should work for me for many years to come. Oh, and yes I've got it in a ruggedised case already.

Just what I needed
I needed a replacement for an earlier Samsung model which was showing its age. This turned out to be a good choice, as my knowledge gained from using the old one came into its own when setting up the new tablet, since there were no written instructions included, and I could only access the manual on the tablet once I had finished setting it up. It was a pleasant surprise to find that during set up I was able to link the tablet to my Samsung phone, transferring information between the two. The tablet came with a USB-C to USB-C cable but no plug, so it was fortunate that my phone cable was also USB-C at one end so I could use it with its plug to charge up the tablet once it ran out of juice. I have since bought a separate plug for the tablet. So far I have not encountered any problems with the tablet. Connections to wifi, bluetooth earplugs, etc have been smooth. I have also been able to transfer some of my music collection to the tablet from my PC by using my phone cable, which has the right USB connection to plug into the ports on both devices. Overall very pleased so far.

Fast, great picture, and easy to set up
Ordered 2 together and they arrived on time and with no problems. Both are perfect and working as expected, the description in the advert does not really do them justice, they are the UK model and set up in moments, one was set up from a previous tablet by simply using a bar code and the camera and its a huge step up from the a9, picture quality, sound, and general feel is very good and equally on par with a certain tablet that costs 3 times as much mentioning no names. Adding an extra 64 gb with a little card was a breeze so plenty more room than needed. tested for charging and restarting, connection at distance rom the hub, and left on for battery length all passed with better than expected results. Now have 2 very happy youngsters. Highly recommend these tablets, not sure about the claims by others about the 3yr extended warranty, not got to the registering stage yet.
