We have recently tried our new pro breeze 20l over the weekend but it has not collected a drop of water. any reason why? is it faulty?

I'm the same On operating it it hadn’t collected a single drop of water in 48 hours. I’ve tried all the modes of operation and nothing comes out.

How much does it cost to operate? I noticed a huge surge on my electricity meter consumption. Anyone noticed this too?

It only consumes 480W of power maximum. At 15 p per kwh that works out at £1.73 per 24 hour day. But that energy is released as heat- so the side effect is not all bad. You will never get something for nothing. Do you expect the humidifier to work for no cost!? stick it on the timer function as well as work out what humidity level you want to get down to before switching off. The machine will then run automatically within the parameters you have set ( or can afford ). The cost to my property of dampness long term was far greater than the cost of the electricity used to dry it out and keep it dry!

I'll start by saying we have a Newentor 25L dehumidifier that has been amazing for a few years now. However this 20L compressor dehumidifier really underperforms. Side by side it extracted 2x less water over 4 hours is a humid environment than their Newentor model. Bit of apples to oranges given power consumption. Looking closely at this ProBreeze and other brands in this size it looks like it might actually be a relabeled generic model. Either way pretty disappointed.

What is the decibel noise level? And range if possible?

Very noisy! It is noisy even in the living room, much louder than a big fan. So I retired him and replaced him with a newentor. Although there is a voice, but the voice is much lower
