Supershieldz (3 Pack) Designed for Google Pixel 8 Tempered Glass Screen Protector, Anti Scratch, Bubble Free

Application always takes a couple of tries for me, no matter the brand of protectors I buy. I always discover a small piece of lint or smudge gets between the screen and the protector on the first try or two. It's not a mark against these protectors, but you really really gotta make sure the screen is clean and the area you're working in is as close to free of dust and small debris as you can get if you want a flawless application. Once applied, I've never been able to remove and "try again" with the same protector - I have to use a freshly unwrapped one. I'm glad they sell these in packs. That said, the actual application takes under a minute and most of the protector will pull itself onto the screen once started. I only had a couple of small bubbles on an edge or two to push out. The touch screen on my Pixel 8 works as it did before the screen protector (be sure to turn on screen protector "mode" in the Pixel settings). Fingerprint unlock works the same for me as it did without the screen protector. I re-registered my fingerprints after putting the protector on. The screen protector and the phone case I use did not interfere with each other. I don't expect this to keep the screen from shattering if I drop the phone. Maybe it would help, maybe not. I strictly view screen protectors as wear protection. And when the screen protector gets worn enough, I can easily replace it myself for a couple dollars and have a "new screen" on my phone. In the meantime, the actual phone screen is kept in excellent condition underneath.

I purchased this product in Feb of 2025 with some hesitation based on the negative reviews; however, after over 6 months of use I have found that the screen protector works fine. One negative review noted that there were air bubbles after installation. I experienced a similar issue, which resolved itself the first time the phone was charged overnight. Others complained of dust and particles under the glass. I didn't experience this as the work area was thoroughly cleaned before installation began. The only problem I had was getting the proper alignment of the glass. First screen didn't align quite right so after a few months dirt got under one of the corners. Second screen was installed without a hitch and is working great.

## Review for Screen Protector on Pixel 8 I had mixed experiences with this screen protector for my Pixel 8. The included directions were for a different protector, which was frustrating and led me to drop my rating by one star. My first installation attempt failed due to misalignment, but thankfully, the three-pack allowed for a second try, which went smoothly with no bubbles. However, I discovered that my Pixel 8's screen isn't completely flat; it curves slightly on the sides, resulting in thin lines where the protector isn't sticking on both edges. I wish I had checked Reddit first, as others reported similar issues with glass screen protectors. While the fingerprint ID works well, the flat design may not be the best fit for a Pixel 8. Overall, it's a solid protector but consider compatibility before purchasing.

TIP: - Use the provided guide-strips and follow the video instructions! - When doing so, you'll have two "hinge" strips and one "lift" strip - I got best results by lowering the lift strip VERY slowly. This would make the protector start adhering near the "hinge" strips. I would then lower the lift strip as the protector "gripped" the phone's glass. By going so slowly, there was never a chance for air to get trapped and form bubbles and once the adhesion had traveled to the side of the lift strip, the fit was perfect... No need to "rub away" any air bubbles. Very satisfying. PRO: - Great fit for Pixel 8 phone - Tools & Instructions for applying the protector are excellent (using the adhesive strips ensures accurate placement!) - I tried bending one of the protectors to break it and gave up after bending it more than 70 degrees (extremely durable!) CON: - Difficult to remove without destroying the protector. My first screen got a dust particle stuck under it (freak accident - I did clean the screen well!), so I needed to remove the screen... Doing so with a (relatively soft) guitar pick still bent the outside edge enough that I couldn't reuse it. ... But you shouldn't have to do that usually anyway 🤷 FYI: - I haven't used the protector for a long time yet, so cannot really comment on scratch resistance. But so far it's already miles better than my last protector, which immediately cracked when in contact with anything harder than a baby-bunny.

Either these screen protectors are a bit too large for the Pixel 8, or they have some defective adhesive. Mine didn't seal completely at the top, leaving a small bubble/cloud about a millimeter thick along the edge, which is annoying. That said, I probably won't replace it until it breaks, since it doesn't block my screen at all.

Despite following the instructions carefully, I found it incredibly difficult to get rid of the air bubbles trapped underneath the screen protector. No matter how much I tried to smooth them out, they stubbornly persisted, detracting from the overall aesthetic of my device. While I eventually managed to minimize the air bubbles to some extent, the process was more time-consuming and frustrating than I had anticipated. In the end, the screen protector does provide an added layer of protection for my Pixel 8, but the hassle of dealing with air bubbles during installation dampened my enthusiasm. In conclusion, the Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protector offers decent protection for the Google Pixel 8, but the difficulty in getting rid of air bubbles during installation is a notable drawback. If you're willing to put in the extra effort to achieve a bubble-free application, then this protector might be worth considering. Otherwise, you may want to explore alternative options. Doesn't stick around edges. Complete trash. Don't waste your time or money.

If you start with a perfectly clean screen, and keep it dust free before application... If you hold the protector right above the screen and aim to keep both index fingers and thumbs holding corners of the protector so that you can aim directly for the center... If you gently let it settle, centered, on the screen and let it start to adhere on its own and give it time to finish... If you then coax out any and all bubbles and see if it has actually adhered evenly from the edges on all sides... And if you then give it a few hours to one day to let all parts of it adhered to your phone... You WILL be able to put this protector on far more successfully than with others. Very few others are actually cut correctly. These are worth a shot. But you have to be careful and patient.
