Father In Law Loves This.
Bough this for my father in law for christmas. His other fish finder stopped working July of last year so I thought I'd surprise him with a new one. He was so happy. He loves using it all the time. Theres this one lake we go to every weekend for a "father/daughter" day and it helps so much since theres a tree in the lake that would ruin the boat if we didnt have this to find where the tree is. It's great for finding the spot where fish like to group up even if we dont catch them. It's a great item and I'm so happy I could make my dad happy too.

Nice unit with only one drawback in my experience.
This is a decent low-end depth finder, but adjusting the transducer to work at running speed is tricky. But my biggest complaint is I can't see anything when the sun is on the display, which is on a jon boat. I'm building a screen surround now to hopefully fix the problem. So if your unit is in an exposed location, consider that.

Great buy
This small lowrance is just what I needed for my Tritoon. I had no depth finder and I purchased this Lowrance for about the same price as a generic depth finder. It came with the transducer and wiring and top of dash mount. Works great

Mixed thoughts on it
It works with the depth good. But when it’s on fish mode it picks up all the weeds and prints it as fish.

Issue with splitshot option
The fish finder itself is great👍 but I picked the option "with splitshot transducer" and that bumped the price from $108 to $186. And the splitshot transducer doesn't have power cables. So I am using the bullet skimmer that came with the hook2 4x and have a splitshot transducer for no reason unless I'm missing how to power the unit without power cables... I emailed Lowrance 2 weeks ago still no response. But on there sight it says "the splitshot transducer works with ALL hook 2 fish finders".. I don't see how?

Great bang for ya buck!
It seems really nice. Easy to read easy to work and navigate, base model is all I needed for yak fishing. Kind of lame that it didn’t come with the sunscreen protector that you have to buy separately. But it’s a nice unit

this Hook2-4x junk does NOT function at all DOA.. TWICE.. same for two brand new units
Hook2-4x on brand new tracker boat, no good, NO display, would NOT power up at all. Yes, did read all manuals, researched troubleshooting, Lowrance site, utube, forums etc. etc.. Yes, good voltage, good wiring, plugged in proper,.. No, its not the incredibly stupid defective-by-design brightness/contrast screen setting yada yada, no not a bad wiring harness or plugs.. Lowrance "customer service" being a big fat zero, as most people already know, I ordered a new unit from Amazon, that being quick-n-easy way out, since boat/transducer was already wired up proper... same old crap, new unit same same, will NOT power up at all, NO display, no beep, no boop, no flicker. NOTHING.. both units I also checked by wiring up to unit#2 new harness/transducer, using a 12vdc generic standard accessory male plugin to power from car or whatever.. neither unit will power up whatsoever.. aMAZON was good enough to let return that 2nd unit for full credit.. and I am now spending that money on a Hummingbird (from Amazon)... Lowrance can go stick their Hook2-4x that never shines.. in the same place that never shines.. I will never again spend a dime of mine on anything with the Lowrance name on it.. it gets "one star" ONLY because they don't let you post a ZERO star rating.. caveat emptor.. but thank you Amazon for the refund and for the new Hummingbird on the way

Mal producto, no funciona, mal sistema de garantías.
Compré este producto hace un par de meses, no lo pude instalar de inmediato por la contingencia del COVID-19 y ahora recién lo instalé y no me detecta la profundidad. Quise buscar que hacer con la garantía y no encontré ningún lugar en donde poder hacerla valida, en realidad es un muy mal producto ya que veo que tiene puros malos comentarios y la experiencia de compra es muy mala ya que si necesitas por alguna razón resolver un problema como el mio no puedes.
