Will item require a jubilee clip to fix to my ventilation hose or does it have tightening thread within it ?

you need clip or zip tight or duck tape to secure it does not come with clip

I have a hole in my wall from a drier vent and want to use it for my air con hose but it’s too big, will this work? How do I attach it to the hose?

It all depends upon pipe diameters - will your two pipes fit either inside one of the fixed rings. If flat plastic pipes you can glue them on or in. If ribbed flexo hose you can simply use a zip tie with hose fitted to outside

Can this withstand heat to use with tumble dryer hose (4 and half inch) to extractor hole in wall (3 and half inch)?

yes its fine I use it also on exhaust of my air conditioner and that is pretty hot

What is the height of the converter? I am fitting a new Cooker hood in a cupboard and the gap between the outlet of the hood and the pipe is 4-5cm.

I can’t remember to be honest but that’s probably the height of the first two bottom sections. It doesn’t matter cos the pipe will fit to whichever section it lands on the rest will go inside the pipe or you can break off the sections not required from the top either way.
