Ater attaching the hub how many hands are required to plug in a cable? Do you need the hold the hub steady with one hand?

I found (with device received in December 2019) that I had to use a lot of force to unplug or plug in a USB cable. You definitely have to use two hands. I'm considering returning the device, maybe another one will work better.

Does it block sound from the speakers?

You can mount it anywhere at the bottom of the monitor. I mounted mine in the center. Looks better in my opinions.

Similar devices cause interference with wireless mouse & keyboard receivers...does this hub have any issues?

My Apple Magic Trackpad 2 is 8" away from the hub. My wireless keyboard is a little further away, and I have a Macbook Pro nearby using the previous generation Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad in the vicinity as well. I have not noticed any interference with any of them; such as unexpected disconnects or odd or slow cursor motion etc.

Does this come in silver?
