I purchased this Bowens Mount Projector Attachment to use as an affordable spotlight/snoot option, and overall I’m very satisfied with it for the price. The build quality is better than I expected—everything feels solid, not flimsy, and it mounts securely to the light without wobble. The focusing mechanism works smoothly and allows you to get a nice, sharp projection when using gobos or shaping light for portraits and product photography. I tested it on a Nanlite FS-300C, which is not officially listed as compatible. While it does work, there is some light leaking from the back of the unit. That said, it hasn’t caused any real issues in my setups and doesn’t significantly impact the projected light quality. Once positioned and flagged if needed, it performs just fine. The included gobos add a lot of creative flexibility, especially for background effects, and the color filters are a nice extra for quick styling without needing gels. Output is reasonably strong considering this is a budget-friendly optical snoot, and the light shaping is precise enough for controlled portrait lighting and product shots. Overall, this is a solid and inexpensive alternative to much more expensive spotlight attachments. If you’re on a budget and want to experiment with projected patterns and controlled light shaping, this is a great value. Just be aware of minor light spill on higher-powered lights like the FS-300C, but for the price, it’s an easy recommendation.

I had recently purchased my nanlite fs-300B lights and was looking at projection spotlights. The lights I have are 300 watts a second LED mono lights so I wanted to make sure that the projection spotlight I get can withstand the heat that these lights can produce at full power. I am happy to say that this units all metal design fits the bill perfectly! it has vents toward the rear that also let the heat out. This thing is VERY well made and comes with a lot of gobos so you can find a look that you like. The color filters are cool also. It fits my lights perfectly as shown in the photo and has clearance for the light head inside it. The only thing I dont like is the sleeve that it comes with for the gobos. It is a bit hard to take them out of it. I plan to keep the gobos in maybe a zipper bag and put paper index cards between them to keep them safe. Everything is high quality and I think the price is really good for what you get.

Really a good deal for the price point. This is quite affordable compared to other similar, and seems to work just as well as my more expensive one. It's maybe a little bit more fragile feeling, and the fit of the parts isn't quite as snug, but at less than half the price, this is a seriously good deal. If you're looking for a heavy use, very robust mount, go ahead and pay two and a half times the price. But if your mount is going to be staying in a location or not being thrown around a ton, this is definitely the mount to go with
