Great for using to control Sonos
We use this in the Kitchen and it is the best Sonos controller for selecting music and changing the volume using the slider control. Also love walking by and seeing our chocolate lab pictures on the display.

Plug in Panel - Cord Length
I was really excited to receive this product. When I received it and open the package, the cord is about 10 feet long. The reason I chose the plug-in model was so I didn’t have to hardwire it into a wall but I can’t really understand where you were supposed to hide this 10 foot cord. I called customer service and they said that you would need to hire a professional to splice the cord, but part of the reason I chose the plug option was so I didn’t have to hire a professional to wire this into a wall. This is so unfortunate and such a faulty design that I can’t fathom how your product team didn’t think through the cord length especially when you show in the photos that the cord between the plug and the product is maybe a half a foot . Unfortunately, I’m going to return this.

Not an easy setup, could not connect to Sonos or Lutron
I've been on the hunt for a reliable smart home hub for some time now, sampling various products along the way. Recently, I decided to test out both the Brilliant system and the Amazon Echo Hub. After some consideration, I chose to stick with the Amazon Echo Hub. The Brilliant system, though sleek and featuring an attractive screen, failed to connect with my Sonos speakers and Lutron lights, making the setup process more challenging than anticipated. Consequently, I opted to return the Brilliant system.

They covered the basics....
I started with this company Brilliant with a reservation not knowing the name when they just started when all their panels were wireless and relatively cheap and i wanted a smart home on a budget. For i thought at the time control 4 and others like it were out my league. I did not want to spend the crazy money I see in YouTube videos. When I bought the first smart panel years ago .... there were hiccups to connect to my network and once connected it did much of what I wanted i was happy but the catch for me was they ticked most of the things i needed at the time controlling the important devices I had around the house such as Ring devices, smart things and Philips locks. The panel allowed a easy way to control Sonos speakers which i had around the home this was a major plus. They did not have the ability to control all the smart devices around the house such as my haiku fans at the the time but they covered the basics. Back then customer service was eager to help and an email away. Their latest iteration i thought was pricey but I needed one more panel in the study ...the plus? The panel was a breeze to connect and add to other smart panels i had in a snap. The software was refreshed and seemed snappier. The downside is they still don't have all the partners to connect but the number they have has increased and I had spoken to a customer service agent back then about haiku but to this day it has not been added. This and a few other devices i have are not yet available to be used on the panel....for this I took away one star. But it was great to do a budget smart home. The wired smart panel devices they offer are crazy expensive and I have no idea what customer service is like now as I have no need to contact them. I have seen the negative comments others have written but I am happy my smart home dream is a reality. Thanks Brilliant but you still have a little more to do to get the fifth star in my book....

Good in theory. Poor in outcome
For such an expensive project that has such a large social media marketing presence I was wildly disappointed with the slow and clunky user interface and limited workings of this product. It tried to summarize multiple smart home apps into one thin screen…yes in theory would have been great but it’s slower than your Alexa echo devices or Google home. Save your money. Wait for a better upgrade or watch a 12 year old on YouTube teach you to build one on a raspberry pi. Brilliant tech…hardly.

Faithless company - ignored by tech support
Very buggy. Nearly impossible to set up. Completely ignored by Brilliant tech support. Device unusable. Never again!

Does not support Apple HomeKit
It says it supports it but only if it is directly wired. Stupid.

limited reliability
The system would be great idea if it had not a poor implementation. There are too many glitches and it has already been the second time for me that every devices went off without warning and i had to reprogram everything (~3 hours of work). I exchanged with the support who had no clue and just denied anything happened...
