Ionic Pro Platinum Filterless Air Purifier for Home, Cleans Up to 800 sq.ft

I have severe indoor allergies and after several days of having this unit running in my bedroom I have definitely noticed the difference. Now I’m waking up just a little bit stuffy instead of being completely stopped up !!!! We have a large bedroom (approximately 450sf) and I’m hopeful that the longer this air cleaner stays on the better the air quality will be and the more likely my symptoms will continue to improve. Unit as still very quiet even with the fans staying on high. Definitely recommend this air cleaner!!!!

Just a quick update -- unit is still running. California is burning again, and the little dude is fighting the good fight, only taking a break for when the filter goes through the dishwasher. We have two of these now btw. -- I'm raising the rating from 4 to 5 stars after having this little dude run in the bedroom for almost 9 months, non-stop. I got used to sleeping with the quiet hum of the fans, and whatever sleep disturbance the minimal noise creates is offset a hundred-fold by better sleep quality because my sinuses are free and my eyes aren't watering. As indicated in the manual, I run the ionic blades through the dishwasher whenever the light comes on. Just the other night, I thought I'd sleep without it running. I woke up multiple times because my nose was stuffed and my throat was scratchy. It never happened to me in the time that I had it running, so it's definitely effective. I'm buying a second one for the other bedroom today. I recommend this unit to anyone. ---- Original review from Nov 2018: I've purchased this air purifier to help improve air quality in the bedroom during NorCal wildfires of 2018. I've had the item for four full days, and running full-time. It definitely works, but of course to cycle more air you'd have to run in full-speed which is louder. I run it on max during the day and switch to silent at night. It is not indeed silent, but significantly quieter than the older air purifier from a different manufacturer that I banished to the other end of the house so I can sleep. With ambient noise level around 17dB (measured by a phone app, so take it with a grain of salt), when I turn on the air purifier, the noise level goes up to 19-20dB measured 50cm / 1.5ft from the device. Far from true silence, but quiet enough that I can actually get some good sleep while it's running. Its fans look like your regular 120mm computer case fans, three of them positioned top to bottom, and the unit sounds kind of like a PC workstation at idle at the lowest setting. I intend to update this review in a few months, after I've had a chance to run it enough to need to clean it.

This is the exact model we had for 3 years before it died. I personally think it's great it for cleaning the air, but also because it serves as white noise while I'm falling asleep. It may be a little loud for some, but I love it! **UPDATE - This replacement only lasted 5 months before a horrible loud noise began. It sounds like something inside of it broke, but I didn't do anything that would have caused it to break. Really disappointed with the quality. Purchase is no longer in the open window for returns, so money spent was wasted.

Can I just say I love this product. The amount of yuck this pulls out of the air is impressive. It is whisper quiet unless on high. Even then it’s not loud. Super easy to clean. I wash the removable filter when it indicates it dirty. Literally wash it with water in the sink maybe 30 seconds. I wash the main collector in my dishwasher per manufactures recommendations. I wash it on low with no detergent. My rinse aid I use has always be vinegar. So bam it’s clean and disinfected. I take a wet microfiber rag and wipe down the unit and it’s good as new. Living in the foothills of California with the pollen & smoke fit the fires the air quality is bad outside. However my house has clean breathable air thanks to this amazing air purifier. Bravo Envion I am a costumer for life. I refer everyone I know to buy this unit. Upfront it hurts the wallet however you buy no replacement filters. So it pays for itself. Most important to me is I’m helping the environment by not having to discard any dirty filters.

The unit is quiet and easy to clean. We like using the timer which is a nice feature I wasn't expecting. My in laws have this unit and it really helped clear the bacon smell after frying at their home. It doesn't work as well in ours. It may be because we have a larger open area than they do, but it does reduce the smell considerably. I feel it was worth the money. We run this along with another that has a hepa filter and it has certainly helped with the old house smell and my allergies.

The noise level was great I really like this product the only problem is that I have a problem getting the unit to turn on. It takes five or six times pushing the button for it to actually go on. If it wasn’t for this problem I would definitely love it I would have liked to receive a new one but that wasn’t one of the options on the return policy.

Updated: I’ve had this piece since end of September 2025 and now the fans are making a horrible whining noise can’t even run for a short time. Cleaned every 7 days don’t waste your money not worth the money very disappointed , the seller went above and beyond customer service everything gave me a full refund able to buy a new unit

IT works well, the air smells very fresh, I didn't find any info about how much ions it makes but the ozone amount is according to the standard of Health Canada which is important because any ionizer produces some ozone that is not good for the health if too much. So far it made some loud clicks a few times but I purchased the extended warranty from Amazon so we will see. So far I'm happy with the air quality in my basement.

With three fans and several fan speeds, this box can either move a lot of air quickly or be whisper quiet in the background. Really easy to clean. Wipe or rinse the dust filter and let dry. Wash the electronic filter element in your dishwasher. Just make sure both are completely dry before reinstalling. Besides having an electronic filter on my central furnace, I have three of these units in high-usage parts of my house and fan-free, completely silent ionic filters in the bedrooms. In my opinion, electronic filtration works better than HEPA against viruses and I feel I'm preparing as best as possible for the winter season when we spend so much more time indoors..
