Great upgrade
Got this for my very old (10+ years) 3x d battery maglight and I'm very impressed. Instalation is very easy, it literally just replaces the old bulb. The old batteries in the torch had just enough juice to make the bulb element dimly glow, but when I tried them with the led upgrade it worked at full brightness so I'm sure battery life will be great. At 55 lumens it's not as bright as smaller modern flashlights, but it's a great way to give that old maglight a new lease of life

New life for an old dog.
Bought this to upgrade an old Fulton right angle torch I've had laying around unused for years. The difference between the stock incandescent bulb and this one is incredible. If you've got a d cell torch, improve its' light output with one of these bulbs, you won't be disappointed.

good retro fit....
Work really well even with two cell torches, better than others I've used. Quite why they're all so expensive when your can buy a cree equipped torch for less I've no idea, opportunism I suspect.....

Great bulb! Dont throw out your favorite old "normal bulb" flashlights. Upgrade em with this!
Love this bulb! Turned a dull, unimpressive bulb flashlight that went through batteries pretty quickly into a battery conservative, much much brighter torch that I am not ashamed to whip out and use in front of company ;) Seriously though. Great little upgrade for any bulb flashlight that uses two batteries. Previous to this bulb, I bought one that stated a rating of 35 lumens. This one claims 55 lumens. Well, there is a big difference in the two bulbs, that I can assure you. This one is significantly brighter than the 35 lumen bulb. Will always buy this one over the other any time that I need a LED flashlight bulb in the future. Don't get me wrong. Both bulbs are better than what they replaced. Its just that this bulb is better than the first that I tried(and cheaper as well, because of Amazon's "add on" program)
