We sell these units in our VW / Audi repair and performance shop, installed dozens of them. This particular brand comes with well written installation and user instructions. Functionality - like others is 90% OEM experience. The biggest gripe is callers hearing echo - just have to play around to come up with an acceptable setting. Second biggest complaint is people being half connected to it and half connected to the cars original Bluetooth - best to just forget it to avoid that issue. Installation on a 3G MMI system - Audi A4, A5, S4/S5, Q5/SQ5 2010-2017 w/Nav is literally plug & play. Non- Nav cars are a bit more complex. These units truly make an outdated Nav and infotainment system modernized with the latest maps, music, EQ, and more. 100% Recommended - unbiased, non solicited recommendation.

Overall for the price I’m very satisfied. The interface seems to work well and I’ve been using it for over a month. My only complaint is the instructions were not clear/incorrect in relation to the ribbon cable not needing to be connected prior to testing. The ribbon cable that connects to the buttons does need to be connected prior to the testing stage otherwise the unit will not switch on. Overall very satisfied and I think the price is fair.

Installed this in my 2014 Audi A4 B8.5 with 2G MMI. The most difficult part of the install is removing the vent and radio. Make sure you buy trim removal tools and the Audi keys to remove the unit in the glove box. Directions on YouTube don’t have English and are very hard to follow. The unit stopped working after two days. Car play would randomly disconnect and the screen would turn black and go back to the OEM screen. When holding the "NAV" button the module would click and the screen would just flicker and go black. I triple checked everything and nothing is installed incorrectly. The controls never worked for the center control knob and I could only get the steering wheel to control everything.

Absolutely love this, I got it for my son for his 2016 Audi A3, although Audi has its own screen nothing beats the CarPlay, easy installation and it works perfectly
