iOttie Easy One Touch Advanced Universal Car Mount Dashboard & Windshield Suction Cup Phone Holder for iPhone, Samsung, Google, All Smartphones

I’ve been using this iOttie mount daily for the last two years, and up until this week, it worked absolutely wonderfully. It held its suction perfectly against the dash, and the one-touch mechanism made it incredibly easy to get my phone in and out. It stayed rock solid over countless drives. Unfortunately, this week the main adjustment arm completely lost its tension and started sagging under the weight of my phone. Upon closer inspection, the plastic tightening knob that screws into the base joint had completely vibrated loose over time and fell out somewhere. Without that knob to lock the hinge, the mount is pretty much unusable. It's a fantastic, durable mount that gave me two solid years of zero issues, but I highly recommend occasionally checking and retightening the knobs so you don't end up losing yours on the floorboards like I did!

I've gone through about 10 different phone mounts over the years trying to find "the one," and this might be as close as I'm getting. First, one of the key features of this model is that it comes with a mounting plate. This makes mounting much easier and gives you more options as you can stick it nearly anywhere and have a smooth, flat surface to mount the holder. The dashboard of my truck doesn't have many places that are flat enough to mount a phone holder, and this created a lot more options. The place I chose to mount is too textured for a suction cup to grip, but the mounting plate sticks no problem. The suction on the mount is incredible. Even with it turned "off", the grip is still rock solid. I actually drove around for a day with it "off" and the mount never let go. To remove from the mounting plate though is easy, simply pull up on the tab and "peel" the suction cup off. It will take a little effort, but that's good! The all joints on the arm are "indexed" with interlocking teeth, which means once it's tighted down it won't move, at all. It also won't (cannot) loosen up over time from vibration/wear. Adjustability is great, too, though this particularly model won't extend fore/aft if if that is a concern. Now, the phone grip is just as good as the rest of the mount. Lightly press your phone into the mount and the arms snap close, tightly gripping your phone. My phone is relatively heavy (Google Pixel 7 in a Google branded hard case), and it does not move, AT ALL. My truck isn't the smoothest riding vehicle and Michigan roads aren't great either, but this is the first mount I've used that shows zero movement or vibration. It's rock-solid. I've tried several highly reviewed magnet mounts, and none come even close to this stability. Removing the phone is easy. I can do it one-handed, simply squeeze the "wings" together and the jaws pop open and lock. The only minor issue I have with the mount is that the phone tends to sit every so slightly crooked, which only is an issue as the bottom charge port is sometimes off-center and partially blocked by one of the lower "jaws" of the mount. I can usually just nudge the phone a bit to adjust, or at worst take the phone out and try again paying more attention to how it's oriented before closing the jaws. All in all, seems to be an excellent product with good design and better than average construction and details.

Excellent car mount! iOttie's Easy One Touch mechanism works wonderfully and holds my iPhone firmly, even on bumpy roads. The dashboard mount is very secure thanks to the strong suction cup. I love the extendable arm length, which allows me to position the phone exactly where I need it. Plus, the phone is very easy to attach and remove with just one hand. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality mount. Great purchase

Great quality. Good grip, hard to put a phone on it with a bulky case but works good without one. Easy to install. I favor the magnetic mounts but this comes at a close second.

I really like the dash mount I've tried several and the Advanced is my favorite so far. The surface in my Corolla's dash has a bit of a curve to it but it is sturdy and stays on. I also tried the CD mount version of the iOttie mount, it was high quality, but it did not work well for me due to the shape of my CD slot and it vibrated/bounced my phone around too much for me. I almost kept it because I preferred the positioning but the dash mount got close enough with less vibration.

Really happy with this phone holder. My car has a curved dashboard, so I chose to install it on the windshield instead, and it works perfectly. The suction cup stays firmly in place even during very hot days, and my phone feels very secure while driving. For a quality phone holder under $30, this was definitely worth it. I also really liked how easy it was to release and reposition my phone. I can remove the phone with one hand, and the grips hold it tightly without feeling flimsy. Installation was quick, the mount feels sturdy, and overall it’s been super convenient for navigation and everyday use.

The iOttie one touch advanced universal car mount is universal just as it says. It can mount on a windshield or a dashboard. I use two of them, one for my phone and one for my gps. The ball on the arm fits a Garmin socked perfectly. I have both of mine mount on my dash and they grip to the textured surface with no issues, even when sitting in the sun all day. They are durable and withstand the shock of a tractor trailer bouncing down the rough roads. They are easy to install and makes reaching your devices much safer than having to r achy for them.

I love the overall setup of this. It's compact, grips my phone well, and only requires 1 hand to put in and take out my phone. So that setup is why I continue trying to figure out how to keep it rather than trash it. First, the plastic disc it comes with (sticky on the bottom and smooth plastic on the top) to mount the base of this onto is crap. It didn't stick for very long, so I threw it away. Directly suctioning the phone mount to my dash, without the disc, worked AMAZING... for 3 to 4 months. Then it started falling off my dash, at first only every once in a while, and gradually getting to the point where the mount would fall off my dash within 5 minutes or so of putting my phone in it. Sometimes it would fall off even when my phone wasn't in it. So last week I bought a sticky double-sided silicone gel pad to stick the phone mount to. Gel sticker pads like this are exceptionally sticky!! However, the gel pad STILL wasn't enough to keep the phone mount from falling down. This creates a safety problem when your phone comes toppling down in the middle of you driving. So I've identified 2 problems: 1. There's not enough weight in the base to keep it balanced. Most of the weight is in the arm and phone clip. So when you put your phone in it, that forward weight is exponentially increased. Overtime, that lack of balance destroys whatever mechanisms there are between the plastic base and sticky disc that help suction it to your dash. 2. Whatever mechanical pieces or what not that ensure the plastic base and sticky disc work together to create the suction clearly isn't durable. You can see from my picture that even though the suction lever is down, there's a clear gap between the plastic and sticky disc. This means, there's little to no suction anymore to help hold it in place. Without the suction, the stickiness of the disc (which is still going strong!) just can't compensate for the poor mechanics. Do I recommend? If you're as determined as I am to make this work, I recommend doing what I've done STRAIGHT out of the box to keep the base from deteriorating. Again, the reason I'm so committed to making it work is because it's so easy to use and keeps my phone very accessible. The telescoping arm and ball joint phone clip mean that you can get your phone right where you want it. And you can focus on driving rather than fiddling with getting your phone in and out of it. To the manufacturer, PLEASE resolve structural and mechanical issues with this so it doesn't require so much freakin' work to keep from throwing it in the garbage! Because I love the overall setup of this, I've now resorted to applying Krazy Glue to the bottom and top of the gel pad to hold the phone mount to the gel pad and the gel pad to my dash.

Ich denke Langlebigkeit ist hier gegeben. Ich mache mir keine Sorgen, dass die Halterung zeitnah dem Gewicht eines S23 Ultras nachgibt, welches übrigens wunderbar und bequem mit Schutzhülle reinpasst. Der Mechanismus ist super einfach einhändig zu bedienen und einfach klasse gemacht. Hat nicht nur den Vorteil, dass man das Handy kinderleicht platzieren kann, sondern auch dass man nicht an der Halterung rupfen, sie dabei evtl beschädigt oder gleich ganz von der scheibe reißt. Diese Halterung eignet sich auch um ein Zweithandy als Dashcam zu nutzen, weil sie, wenn an der Scheibe angebracht, kaum bis garnicht im Weg ist, allerdings wäre es für diesen Use Case verschwendetes Geld. Werde evtl noch ein Video posten, und euch auf dem Laufenden halten.
