8-in-1 Super Slim/Thin Spanner Set (Low Profile,only 1.5mm Thick), Stainless Steel. ENGINEER ts-04

I bought these to help me repair a Dualit toaster and they helped me do exactly that. They are slim but very sturdy. The rings for holding them aren't that great.

I needed to undo some 8mm bolts that were holding on my idle control valve on my Ford Fiesta, that were not easy to get to and undo. Other ratchets and spanners were to big for the task and if I did manage to start undoing them, the heads of the bolts would start to round off. These spanners are really strong and well made and were able to do the job properly. Good set of tools that are worth having.

Using these to fix a few problems with an old mechanical SLR camera. They're just the job. Stamped but from good metal and free from burrs, they are well-finished, nice and rigid and ideal for working on things with small bolts and shafts.

Ordered these to replace a poor quality set from another supplier. Very good quality and did exactly what I needed them to do. Excellent precision tools!

Nicely made and packaged, these combination spanners fill a longstanding gap in my tool inventory. I haven't used them that much yet but they will come into their own when I'm working on small parts in confined areas.

Bought these spanners to adjust a carburettor. They are ideal for the job due to their thinness and sizes - down to 1/2mm increments.

I'm generally a fan of the Japanese 'Engineers' brand. They make some very good tools, however these are not among them. They are just too flimsy for any serious application - they should have used a much tougher steel for these.

Some comments for (mostly other) spanner sets re the sizes being different at each end - actually this is a good design feature that means you can (with one set) hold both the nut and the bolt of the same size. These are punched out of sheet steel, therefore there is NO way they will be as strong as more bulky forged spanners, but then bulky forged spanners are likely too big for some small jobs. For sure, if you lean on them, they will snap, but if you are having to apply too much force, then maybe you should be using a heavier duty spanner or socket.

Ricevuto tempestivamente. Provato sino ad oggi con dadi e controdadi M3 (5.5 mm), per stringere con una certa forza dado e controdado di bloccaggio che non debbono separarsi in presenza di vibrazioni. Le chiavi hanno funzionato a meraviglia: sono precise, tagliate senza alcuna imprecisione, ne' difetto, ne' sbavatura, sono risultate resistenti e non hanno dato alcun segno di cedimento / slargamento stringendo con una certa forza! CONCLUSIONE: molto molto soddisfatto, il set risolve esigenze tecniche altrimenti non gestibili. Per le prove fatte, vale tutto il costo non basso che ho pagato!

That's one of those times when you expect some average cheap set made in China, but a set of quality spanners made in Japan arrives instead. As others have noted, they are not suitable for high torque tasks due to their thin profile. I ordered them specifically for use with thin nuts.
