W6 Iron and Fallout Remover

I’ve used a few different iron removers before, but this one really stands out. It’s super easy to use – just spray it on and you can immediately see it reacting as it pulls out contamination from the paint. The colour change is really helpful because you can clearly see where it’s working, especially on areas that pick up a lot of brake dust and road fallout. After rinsing, the surface felt much smoother and noticeably cleaner, even before doing any further steps like claying. It’s strong enough to do the job properly, but it doesn’t feel overly aggressive on the paintwork or surrounding areas. I also found you don’t need to use loads of product, so it should last a decent amount of time. Like most iron removers, it does have a smell, but it’s not as bad as some others I’ve tried. Definitely manageable. Overall, really solid product that delivers exactly what you’d expect. If you’re into keeping your car clean and properly decontaminated, this is well worth picking up. Would happily buy again.

Extremely impressed! Best wheel cleaner/iron remover ive ever used and ive used all the BIG brands. Love this stuff it works wonders and didn't even need a pressure washer to clean off, just my fluffy Meguiars wheel Brush and a hose pipe, DONE.

I purchased this product to address (and hopefully) remove the accumulation of brake dust on my alloy wheels. The final result was more of a mixed result than i had hoped for. However, overall, it demonstrated approximately 75% effectiveness in removing the brake dust, significantly enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the wheels. The cleaner proved effective on the majority of surface contaminants; however, it did not entirely eliminate all traces of brake dust, particularly in more stubborn regions, but it was a speedy process and surpassed Auto Glym products I have used. While this product performs commendably and represents a valuable asset in car maintenance, it is essential to acknowledge that minor residue may persist even after application. Users seeking a comprehensive cleaning solution may need to supplement the product's use with additional considerable manual effort. Nevertheless, I would recommend this cleaner for its general efficacy and ease of application, making it a worthwhile addition to one’s vehicle care regimen, as I have stated, it far surpasses Auto Glym. The application is easy with the spray on attachment and little leakage of the product occurs. You easily use up around half of the bottle on fairly crusty wheels and whilst they are significantly better by the end, lots more work is still required to get them looking really good.

Excellent. I bought a 74 plate white car which only had 4k miles on and looked legit new inside and out but i noticed on the bonnet 1 tiny spot i would say half grain of rice and same at the back of rust...theres no damage or dent etc which i have not encountered before i called the dealership as they never mentioned it and was told it can be rust particle from breaks or even someone elses that latches onto paintwork and than goes like it did hence no actual damage he recommend this so i sprayed it on at a distance and there was a bit more than i could see as there were dark purple spots in a good few places which is this reacting with the iron in the rust etc left it on a while then wiped off and then decided to pour water over and clean and BAM got rid of it and its not come back so it deffo works will say..it smells to high heaven of sulphur though the eggy kind haha

Brilliant stuff. I have used many brands of fallout remover but always come back to this one. Thick does not dry out to soon. Highly effective on cool paintwork and alloy wheels. Can be diluted. Pricey but 5L better value and lasts a while.

I tried everything but this...I had baked on brake dust, ive not been able to get it off for about 2 months, so this little bottle has saved the day, the picture is only after 1 use (sprayed on dry wheels, agitated it with a detail brush and let it sit for about 2 minutes, cleaned with a mit and rinsed off with a bucket, not even a jet wash) this is really impressive stuff. It stinks tho.

This will be my first review and feedback given for anything I have brought. Usually haven’t got time or can’t bothered. I have a polar ice white sports car, which is my dream car and I valet it weekly. I have OCD so a spotless care is important to me. I was worried that my 13 months old car was starting to rust, but after a visit back to the Mercedes dealer, it was clear that the yellow/orange spots on my car were what was called iron fall out. Didn’t have a clue what this what, but I needed to get rid of it. Mercedes recommended a cleaning solution where you don’t use water to wash your car. This didn’t sit well with me, hence me searching the internet and coming across this product. I have used it today on my car and couldn’t believe the results! It sprayed easily. The bottle said to wait 2-5 minutes. As I stood watching my car, hoping I hadn’t spoilt the paintwork the solution started to turn purple and then bleed down the paintwork. I pressure washer the solution off and then washed the car thoroughly. To my surprise and delight all the yellow/orange spots had gone and so had the few tar spots that it had acquired during the week. My car is perfect, looks like it just come out of the showroom. So pleased! Don’t hesitate to purchase; you won’t be disappointed. Just gutted I didn’t take before and after photos. Enjoy.

I needed an iron fallout remover quickly, and the main reason I grabbed this was the convenience of getting it delivered same day. For that alone, it's a great option to have. It does what it's supposed to: you spray it on your wheels or paintwork, it turns a deep purple as it reacts with the iron particles, and it takes an OK amount of grime with it when you rinse it off and the spray trigger is nice and easy to use. However, having used other dedicated detailing brands, I have to be honest: it's not as powerful as top-tier products like Gyeon's Iron Remover. On my heavily contaminated alloys, the W6 left a noticeable amount of baked-on brake dust behind and required a second, heavy application to get them mostly clean. Other brands I've used tend to get almost everything off on the first try. And yes, like all good iron removers, it has that signature rotten-egg smell (Meguiar's are the only brand to have overcome this). So, it's an OK product if you need something effective in a pinch, but for that deep, single-pass clean, there are more potent options out there if you can wait.

Realloy works well taking road film off wheels

I've used the best brand (like McGuire's & Mothers) wheel cleaners in the past but hands down this Gtechniq W6 beats every other product I've used by a long shot. I didn't have high expectations when I started cleaning the stock aluminum wheels on my 2008 Ridgeline. Considering the fact I haven't cleaned them in 15 years and both of the front calipers were sticking for a long time. Lets just say the black brake dust grim was a few mm thick covering the front wheels. A few sprays and 5 minutes of waiting and the wheel gunk wiped away like chocolate pudding off a spoon. Nothing has ever been able to clean what I just cleaned so quick and effortlessly before. The smell is like a truckdrivers butt hairs burning but that is how you know it is a good product I am guessing. I'd give this 10 stars if I could, just because I thought I had already bought the best of the best products which all I was paying for was their big names. I have not tried any other products by Gtechniq, but when the time comes I am most definitely will.

Unfortunately I don’t have the before picture. I had lots of brake rust embedded on the mag, and thought it would be impossible to get out. The product worked miraculously, I did in two tries since the layer of rust was pretty thick. The product smells pretty nasty, definitively some intense chemicals, so make sure to wear gloves and even glasses to protect your eyes in case the scrubbing splashes some detergent in your eyes. It involved lots of scrubbing but worked in the end so definitively worth the effort. Impressed.

Basta spruzzare il prodotto sul cerchio e aspettare alcuni minuti affinché faccia effetto. Dopo poco il prodotto inizia ad agire cambiando colore (diventa tra il fucsia e il viola) sciogliendo letteralmente qualsiasi tipo di sporco. A questo punto basta una passata con la lancia ad alta pressione e il cerchio è come nuovo.
