The brand's signature style is explicitly jotted down into this elaborate coffee table book with glimpse of some prominent projects that showcase brand's identity. From ideation to understanding client's needs & wants to incorporating elements, she has explained the schematic creative process in a simplified way. Her choice of scheme of things - material, texture, pattern, colors, artefacts etc., coherently blends into the spacious space providing unique user experience with a sense of opulence & timeless. The curation inculcates balanced ornamentation, exclusive materials with a touch of glam. Her style of work has charm of both worlds-classic & modern, where furnishing and lighting are the showstopper. Ideal readers- beginners, homeowners.

I must confess that I bought this book mainly because I was curious to see the inside of the famed Kahn residence, Mannat, and how Gauri Khan had fashioned it. I’m happy to say that I was in no way disappointed with my purchase. The pictures of Mannat were captivating, as I expected they would be, but so too were those of the other homes and properties that Gauri Khan had designed. Some of her arrangements were down to earth, like the cheerful, cozy, sun lit space on page 44, and some were more formal and elegant, like the breathtaking Falguni Shane Peacock store. But, no matter how grand the theme, none of her designs presented as pretentious or stiff, which I truly appreciated. In addition to page after page of stunning images, I also found the detailed text to be extremely helpful. Gauri’s explanation of the function of different materials, color, lighting, textures, and patterns was simple and straightforward, very easy for a layperson like me to follow. Oh, and as an added bonus, there are some fabulous family pictures of Gauri, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. Given all that this book has to offer, who wouldn’t want it on their coffee table? Thumbs up.

Das Buch ist perfekt. Was mich ärgert ist die Tatsache, dass nirgends steht, dass ich zusätzlich zum Preis noch Zoll und Aufwandspauschale in Höhe von 10,04 EUR an die DHL-Zustellerin zahlen musste.
