Era 300 - Wireless Smart Speaker with Dolby Atmos (White)

I’m delighted with this speaker. The sound is outstanding. I’m so pleased with it that I’ll be purchasing a second so I can get a true stereo sound. Not that it needs a second speaker but I think this will double my experience,

Really impressed, and I am not someone who is easily impressed. Every aspect of this item simply oozes quality, from unboxing to setup to final installed product. The Aura 300 packaging comes with two little locking clips which slide to unlock the box, which then opens to reveal the speaker presented in a really nice muslin bag. Setup was absolute simplicity: download the Sonos app and follow the instructions to connect to your wifi network. You then tune the speaker to your room by using your mobile phone while the speaker chimes in the background - it determines the best setup accordingly. All told it took me maybe 5 minutes to set up fully. And the sound! We have gone from a first-gen Amazon Echo to this. The Echo has done us fine for years, but was never particularly rich in sound quality. Considering this is a single speaker, the sound is extraordinary across the spectrum, especially when playing sound using Dolby Atmos. £400 for a smart speaker is not a cheap option, but honestly the sound quality is so good, better than significantly more expensive options that you could look at. I imagine that if you had two in a room the richness would be absolutely breath-taking, but one suits my needs just fine. For now anyhow!

I’ve got two of these era 300 speakers in white and they are fantastic. The sound quality is brilliant and I have them set up as a stereo pair. The Sonos app is now improving to the point where it is acceptable, last year it was very bad to the extent that it made the speakers almost unusable. I had to use Apple AirPlay instead of the Sonos app to use the speakers effectively now however, as I say the app is good and the speakers are fantastic.

I bought this for my office as I am growing tired of wearing headphones for long periods. Read a lot of reviews from music magazines etc., and for my budget this seemed the best option. I'm very happy with it so far, especially as it has an equalizer so you can control the bass. I don't like overpowering bass, so being able to turn it down was a massive bonus. If you like more bass, you can whack it up but if you want a speaker to shake your fillings out, it may not reach those levels (and think of your neighbours!). As with most speakers, sound is subjective so best to try them out first if you can. This speaker is my first Sonos and it hits the spot for me.

The shape of this speaker is somewhat marmite, you’ll love it or hate it but the sound it produces is undeniably good. Very easy to setup and worth the investment. I’m battling as to whether to get another to make a stereo pair but to be honest, it sounds pretty fantastic as a solo speaker. Time and budget will tell. In the meantime I’ve got a cracking product. Highly recommended

I love this speaker, the sound of it, but to get lossless audio, I didn't want to use Bluetooth, which meant that I had to buy a £15 3.5mm audio jack adaptor from Sonos, even though it has a USB C connector as well as bluetooth connectivity. It's quite a heavy lump, but not so much so that you can't move it, yet somehow that also makes it feel very durable. While it looks like something that belongs on the Starship Enterprise, and by that I mean it is pretty and futuristic looking, but that also makes it impractical. The worst thing is the Sonos app which made it incredibly difficult to setup and that is part of why I have scored it as I have. If it was purely on the sound, it would get 5 stars, but the app (especially difficulty accessing smart assistant features) and the friction involved in getting around the bluetooth connection i.e. you have to pay even more to access all features such as lossless / spatial audio, make what should have been a joyous purchase leave a bitter taste in the mouth - does very little for brand loyalty.

Easy to set up and easy to use have connected to both phones and excellent sound quality. Great value for money. Very satisfied. Voice activated is good. Very sturdy.

I am actually grateful that there is a company like Sonos that creates incredibly high quality speakers and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. I would not give much attention to the negative reviews. Sonos speakers have always delivered a clean sound better than any I had before and I am a fan of music so I have owned and tried many brands! This speaker has supreme audio quality and spatial audio experience. It does really deliver an excellent, premium sound that surpasses many of its counterparts, including the Era 100. Added it excel in reproducing various components of a song in great detail, with bass, vocals, and instrumentation all standing out. If you are looking for a really incredible sound in your space with one speaker get this one.

Have a few products from Sonos and added the Era 300 to the list. Dolby Atmos songs sound amazing on it. No regrets on the purchase. Listening to music with Dolby Atmos may not suit everyone's taste so would recommend that you have a listen to it in a store first before you decide to purchase it.
