I didn't know there was a post-emergent crabgrass killer. This works great and doesn't harm turf grasses. Be sure to use with MSO surfactant. The crabbies will be dead in a few days. Works well before reseeding.

Forget the big-box weed killer for crabgrass; I've used those for years with limited success. This Quintessintial Quinclorac product did the job on my crabgrass in one go. Took out the crabgrass with only one spray. The next month when new areas started popping up, I just hit it again briefly.

St Augustine is a problem for me as I have a Zoysia lawn and if I do not manage it, the St Augustine from my neighbor's lawn will overwhelm my zoysia. It also does a good job on Torpedo grass which is impossible to weed by hand because of the underground root network. It's less effective on crab grass but for me, those are easy to weed by hand.

This stuff nuked my crabgrass overnight and did not harm the surrounding Bermuda.

I applied the product as specified on the label and used AI assistance to ensure I got the mixture right. I used a surfactant to assist with absorption. My crabgrass was not affected at all. Now it has grown worse because it did not die so I'll need to try something else.
