The third in the series and just as amazing!
This resource comes with a great booklet that will allow home schoolers to use the resource to its full potential. It came be used in a variety of ways, is sturdy, easy for children to manipulate, which will also help with fine motor skills. Once children know their sounds, digraphs and vowel blends, this resource can be used for building more complex words, we are moving to adjectives etc. It will help build their vocabulary for writing tasks. It supports Kineasthetic learners, ie children who learn by doing things. Vital in all classrooms. AN INVALUABLE RESOURCE FOR ANY SETTING, HOME OR SCHOOL! I have added pics of the items, front and back of the box, of the instruction leaflet and of the items. I have also added a video and pics of this one, the THIRD in the series of three, and off the other three as they all lead on from each other with an APPROPRIATE UPLIFT in learning. This one being the most complex of the three! Age appropriate, bright children will start learning these from 7+, but some might still be using them at 8. VERY HAPPY TO RECOMMEND ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THIS ONE.

Comes with QR codes to print off additional games
At first glance this just looks educational rods which are set in certain colours for learning. Such as the silent (E) being being white, vowels being red and so on. This set is a great way to introduce the more complex wording and practising of Constance files, word families and Affixes so a child starts to learn and use and understand suffixes. It’s very round nine, if a child learns by a hands-on approach, they are more able to retain information and learn quicker. This also includes a booklet with invert colour is QR codes to be able to download games to use alongside this at set such as Bingo as you can see in the photo. There are lots of different activities and games to choose from with the QR code to download and print off. This app can also be used in addition to assets within this range which can be bought separately. Make a note a perfect set for a home setting or an education setting. We’ve had fun playing the games, both learning, and my eight-year-old son has enjoyed this set whilst boosting his knowledge. Therefore, I’d highly recommend

Really good set
I think these are a great learning resource. The blocks are a good size and a lot of thought has been put into the design and contents of the set. The blocks are coloured based on the function of the letters (e.g. vowels are red, consonants are blue, silent 'e' is white), this is good as kids aren't just learning to repeat words they are learning what makes a word, so it helps take their language skills to the next level. I think this is a good set for use at home, to supplement schoolwork or can even be used by teachers in a school. The activity book is also good, and filled with lots of useful information for adults about how best they can use the set. It's a great way to make learning fun and engaging. Kids enjoy it and its something you can spend a 10 - 20 minutes on in an evening, so it doesn't need a lot of time to get into.

Ambitious for a 7-year-old, but can help develop an interest in and knowledge of how words ‘work’
I have already tried and reviewed the Learning Resources Alphabet and CVC Words Reading Rods set. I like it and it has gone straight into use in our household. These are for an age group that is perhaps another whole year down the road towards not only fluent reading (and writing), but manipulating words and understanding how they work. I concluded that the Alphabet and CVC set was more of a teaching resource than something for a child to ‘play’ with or work through on their own. This set, I think requires less supervision, although someone to make suggestions and sometimes help out is definitely required – especially as much of the background resource material doesn’t come with the set in physical form, but has to be downloaded by way of QR codes. As per the enclosed leaflet, this set can be used to demonstrate that a base word such as ‘play’ can – with the addition of ‘er’ be made into a noun (player), and with other affixes into an adjective (playful), and tenses can be changed (playing, played), and so on, with many different base words. To me, that seems, in its totality, ambitious for a seven-year-old, but if – unaided – they discover just a fraction of the various possibilities, they can nevertheless develop an interest in and knowledge of the ways in which words work: and when the time is right they can be shown more. The cubes are nicely made and presented in a stout box that – with reasonable care – should well outlast any one child’s period of need for exercises at this level

Great teaching aid
Little ones coming on leaps and bounds thanks to these. Easy to use and fun for her to learn in a different way to school. Don’t take up much room and can be took away with you/in the car etc. Good idea. Would recommend.

Great part of the set
You really need as many of the sets of these as possible to have a longer term learning resource. I have two other sets so this is a great addition. It's really nice to have a literacy manipulable like the mathslink cubes.

Perfecta para aprender como se forman las palabras en inglés
Un juego de prefijos y sufijos para el idioma inglés para niños de primaria para ayudar a como se forman las palabras. Los cubos vienen codificados por color y hacen que el aprendizaje de las palabras sea interactivo y visualmente atractivo. Ojalá hubiese tenido una cosa así cuando aprendí inglés porque de verdad ayuda y voy a ver si existe algo parecido en español.
