I definitely picked the right grabber tool. I like that the grabber rotates to different widths, easily folds for easy storage, nice long length you can adjust, comfortable handle. Well made!

UPDATE- the company contacted me quickly in regards to my issues with the grabber. They generously offered to refund my purchase and did not ask me to delete or update my review to qualify. I will buy from them in the future.Original review- I really wanted this to work for me as I get older bending down is getting a tad hard. I’m blessed with being able to get to a beach to walk a lot. As a way to give back I pluck up trash here and there. My trusty picker gave out after about a decade. This one doesn’t grasp very well and often takes try after try to get things. While that was ever so annoying I rolled with it. Then I tried to get a small box that had slid to the front of my truck bed and when I picked it up the handle just snapped. The cheap plastic clasp had broken right off. This box had less than a lb in it so it wasn’t over stresses at all.

My first order got stolen off my porch during the holiday season, but thankfully Amazon replaced it for me. I'm glad it all worked out, because this extended reach grabber is pretty awesome! It's well-made, foldable & has lots of handy features like the magnet & gripping function. I love that the hinges lock in place, because I've had other ones that will droop if you don't hold them a specific way. With the locking mechanisms, you can hold this grabber anywhich way & it'll stay firmly extended.As a bonus, I even found that if you want to unlock one or the other hinge in order to grab something that fell behind a piece of furniture or whatever, you can still control the gripping function even at that 90° angle due to the thin but strong cable running thru the pole segments. (Which is great for me, because my arm is too chunky & too short to reach behind stuff, but this grabber isn't!)

I got this to collect eggs with from chickens try to hoard them. This is easy to use. Very very light weight. It wouldn't hold to much more than an egg. The rotation aspect is nice. It has a decent but light grip. It has a light weight magnet that could pick up a few screws if you dropped them. I didn't like the fold aspect at first i was after more of an extend it as you need it. If i want something 3 inches away a 4ft Pole is hard to maneuver but it folding up makes it really easy to store. The joints are a bit weak but again i was just using it for eggs so over all it accomplishes my goals. I'm satisfied with it.

This device arrived in shrinkwrap folded compactly into three parts and secured with a velcro strap for easy storage when it's not in use. It was very simple to assemble it into a single rod, although it did come with instructions on how to do it. I got this for the purpose of extracting garbage from a cactus patch, and from behind bushes. Because this device is fairly long, it easily reached behind the bushes to grab the garbage. Because it's simple and effective, I was also able to use it to pick out the garbage from the cactus patch. Overall, this device worked perfectly and I'm definitely going to order one for my parents.

I have purchased 2 now and they work well but they will only last for about 6 months of consistent use. Then the handle starts to break.
