Sprayers Plus Acid Sprayer 2 Gallon, Acid Pro Compression Sprayer, Chemical Resistant, Leak-Free, for Acid Stain Muriatic Acid

I'm a residential homeowner and have always used pump sprayers for a vast array of household uses, usually lawn/land related. For years/decades I made my peace with the fact that every year or two my pump sprayer would crap out and I'd need a new one. After doing a lot of research I decided to try a pump sprayer designed for acid work, and found and ordered this one. Now, three years later, it still works like new. I do actually use it with acid - I use 30% vinegar as part of my weed control spraying. I've also used it for pre-emergent weed killers, insecticides, and various other chemicals and witches brews and this thing has handled them all without a single hiccup. This sprayer costs more (sometimes quite a bit) than your average homeowner lawn and garden sprayer, but for me it is well worth it due the the functionality and longevity. Highly recommended.

This sprayer works great! I use it for vinegar and it holds up well.

Does not work with Fleet Aluminum Brightener, Sulfiric, Hydrofloric Acid.

The Sprayers Plus Acid Pro Compression Sprayer is the nicest sprayer I have ever owned. I do a lot of pressure washing and use a separate sprayer to pre-treat. Those units don’t usually last more than 2 seasons, even with regular rinsing after use. This sprayer has a 2-gallon tank and is probably larger than I need, but nice to have for big jobs. You could tell right out of the box that it was made of quality components, most of which are replaceable if needed. The high quality, flexible rubber hose is detachable from the tank, a very nice feature. The nozzle gun is easy to grip and even has a quick release lock feature. The tank has a pressure release valve for safety. The tank has a nice, wide web strap to help transport or carry when in use. One of my favorite features it the attached drip tray for the nozzle at the bottom of the tank. The unit was very easy to assemble, and had complete directions included. Unfortunately for me, when testing the unit dry, without liquid, I had an issue with the release valve not holding pressure. I reached out to the vendor, Sprayers Plus Store, via their website. Including pictures of the valve. They responded that nothing was wrong with the valve. I disassembled/reassembled the unit (a couple of times). I applied some silicone grease, included with the sprayer unit, to insure tight connections. I am happy to report that the sprayer is now holding pressure! It’s been too cold for me to have the opportunity to really put it through its paces “on a job,” but now look forward to it.

This sprayer is the cat's meow. I acid washed many boat hulls last spring with no glitches. The hardware and gasket/o rings seem to resist the muriatic acid quite nicely. My hope is that it will last many seasons. The spray nozzle puts out an even spray pattern that is adjustable so you don't get acid where you don't want it. My last sprayer(s) only lasted 1/2 the season and I had to throw them away. These are high quality.

So far so good see how it holds up

I am a pool guy and I do acid washes on the interior surface of pools. I have never found a sprayer that can hold the acid for very long without it deteriorating the O-rings. This sprayer will last a very long time before I have to buy a new one. I am very impressed. I should be a lifelong return customer.

The description indicating how this sprayer will handle acids etc. is a little vague. For instance, you do not want to clean it with acetone as it will swell the Viton seals making the sprayer un-useable. They sell a sprayer for acetone with Edpm seals, but it will not handle un-diluted acids. “Viton is incompatible with ketones. The simplest ketone is acetone. Ketones are a class of highly efficient solvents typically used to formulate products for coatings, Etc. Viton is a synthetic rubber that resists many hydrocarbons, biodiesel, and petro chemicals, but is NOT compatible with ketones. Do not use Viton with acetone, esters, amines, organic acids, acetic acid, MEK, ethyl acetate, highly polar chemicals, etc.” Be very careful what you attempt to apply with this sprayer or what you use to clean it. Since it is not clear in the description, you need to do your homework. The seller communicates well and attempted to help.
