As a user and huge fan of Phenyx pro items and this is a wonderful addition to my sound making gadget. With this amazing product I have more flexibility, mobility and portability. PDP-2 sounds very clear and crisps and I found no difference on the quality of sound compared to my exisisting Phenyx pro line ups such as PTU-52 & PTU-7000. Phenyx pro already gives lots of benefit when you have very limited source of input and this is another great example of you can get two vocal source on one channel with one TS PDP 2 receiver. And if you are looking for a product which does the job well with budget but maximize the capacity of mic system this will be the option you can use. With the additional angled TS connector makes me receiver upright everytime so that I can get the signal clearly from the transmitters. I used in various scenarios (inside during worship and outside) and absolutely loved the flawless sound and connectivity. Very easy to use and versatile is the key benefit of this item. Only few downside that I found during my usage of PDP2 was, when I plugged in to my analog Mix into the line input, vocal sound was a bit quiet but if I put it into XLR input via connector, it was ok with increase the gain. (I might use it incorrectly) Secondly, as I saw it from other review, battery drains quite quickly than other models like PTU-52/7000. I used one and half an hour this week and last week and the battery level is very low already (only one bar left out of three) Other than that this will be my most used mic system for my church event inside and outside (mainly for outside)

Great sound quality Best in portable microphone

This is a very good wireless mic set for the money. Charging is very simple, and you can select from a few different channels on the mics themselves. Connection and mic quality is very good, and the range is very good. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to invest in a value end wireless mic setup. I’ve used it at gigs with no issues. On the downsides, the mics themselves are pretty chunky, as is generally the case with cheaper wireless mics in general. However, this isn’t a big deal. They also don’t come with any sort of case, which is a bit unfortunate. It would be nice if there was a case for them, but I have made my own foam insert for a drawer anyway

Mic itself is okay bit the battery runs out quickly and the foam is nit strong it ripped off as you putting it on.

Rubbish bad distortion waste of money.

So the microphone is durable and good and does sync with the gear4music speaker I’m using. The quality seems good for singing. Not sure about the battery life yet. One issue is the connectivity from the mic to speaker is short as you have to plug it into your usb in your laptop to keep the connection on the mic.

The reception and qyality not good

I have been using Phenyx Pro PTU 71A systems for over a year and have been pretty happy. I have them rack mounted and ready to go when needed. I wanted something portable and easy to set up for loaners. The Phenyx Pro Dual Wireless Handheld system exactly what I was looking for. During the pandemic, I tried some of the other low-cow cost options that had plug in receivers but they suffered from interference and the build quality was poor. The PDP-2 passed the eye test and I was impressed on the transmitters. They felt like the PTU-71 handheld mics so the weight was nice. These use 2 AA batteries so be prepared to have some spares although the unit ships with enough batteries to get you started. The receiver is a compact unit that plugs directly into your mixer, powered speaker etc. Pairing instructions were pretty straight forward and I was testing the first transmitter in no time. During my first test, I walked around an empty hall and was at least a 100 ft away from the receiver. I didn't notice any interference or dropout issues. I then paired the second mic and did the same. I did adjust the EQ on my mixer to add some warmth. I tested both mics from 1ft apart to 50 ft apart and had no issues at all. For less than $80 you get a great dual wireless mic system in a small convenient package. I am planning on using these for a talk at our university next week so I'll see how these work under pressure. I didn't see any individual gain controls on the transmitters so there is no way to adjust each mic individually. That would be my only negative. I would highly recommend these as a back up for DJs, small venues, offices, 1 time presentations. These will be cheaper than your rental fees so don't be afraid to take the risk with these. I'm hoping they offer a lav and headset version of the PDP-2 soon. Great job Phenyx Pro.
