Great book, wasn’t expecting the religion
This is a great book that made me look at my anxiety from a different lens and helped me understand myself and some of my anxiety triggers. Before I bought this book, I was not aware of how much religion was in it, but I could simply skim over those sections and still found a lot of value in the book. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from anxiety looking for new perspective.

Great bookL or group reading and discussion
We’ve used this book in our mom’s group, a Christian Moms Group and disgust it and it was a wonderful book around a great discussion of things that every parent goes through

SUCH A HELPFUL BOOK
This book is such a good book for parents struggling with their own anxiety and offers strategies and reminders on parenting well. It is written from a Christian lens - but it’s not the main focus and if you’re not Christian - you will still benefit greatly from this book. This is one that I will be referencing again and again and again.

Must have book for every parent!
This book belongs on a bookshelf in every home. It is one of those life altering books that has the potential of changing the trajectory of families by transforming you, the parent, from the inside out. Packed with pearls of wisdom on every page you cannot wait to read what’s next. Sissy fills the pages with grace and encouragement but challenges you to dig deep. Don’t even hesitate, just buy the book. I cannot wait until Halloween when the audiobook comes out- read by Sissy, herself. She’s a treasure!

Worth the read
Great book to read as a parent. Read this as a first time mom and it helped me reframe my thinking! Anxiety is a dark cloud and I want to do everything I can not to spread it to my baby!

For All Parents Especially an Anxious Parent
I had the privilege of interviewing Sissy Goff, an expert in her field, and she has written another excellent resource for parents. Who doesn't deal with anxiety? Sissy's book is a great read to help all parents, especially parents dealing with stress. She offers practical advice on how we, as parents, can address and deal with our stress so we don't pass it on to our kids (as the saying goes more is caught than taught). I love the worry-free takeaways at the end of each chapter.

Priceless resource
Thank you, Sissy, for labouring to write this book because you care about anxious parents who suffer day to day. What a providential and merciful gift of God to have authors like Sissy who loves God and cares about people and is so knowledgeable and also dedicated and willing to share her gift and knowledge. Sissy so clearly explains what anxiety is and how it affects a person and is perpetuated from a physiological and a cognitive perspective. Then she offers truly practical and to-the-point instructions on addressing them. And I so appreciate that her explanations are not void of the Triune God but full of instructions that honour God and help readers find rest in Him. I knew of Sissy's books on parenting for a couple years, but I finally realized that I, the Mom, am the one who needs to address my own real anxiety struggles, to the point of having physical (psychosomatic) symptoms. I bought this book by Sissy, both the audiobook and print version, as well as the companion workbook. All of them together have been such an invaluable resource to educate and help me, to bring me relief. Not a dollar was spent in vain. and it has been such a helpful resource to educate me. As Sissy recommends, I also agree, working with a trustworthy counsellor if your anxiety and struggles are too much to resolve on your own is a great idea. I personally would add that a trustworthy counsellor whose perspective and theological foundation you can respect and value is so helpful and important . A skilled counsellor listens well and truly speaks directly into a person's own specific area of struggle. Sissy's book has been a great primer for me to help me be more ready for counseling and a supplement working hand in hand with my counselling sessions. I highly recommend The Worry-Free Parent.
