I have vacation photos on an SD card. I want to play them on my Television. The TV does have a USB port on the back, so will this work on the tv?

It should. It has a USB-A port on one end and a USB-3 on the other. So should work on the old style on TVs and also on your phone to transfer photos/files to and from your computer. It's very versatile.

Can both USB ports be used at the same time?

I certainly wouldn't recommend that.

Can you download photos from an android phone?

I removed the SD card, placed it in the card reader and downloaded photos and some music into my laptop without any problem.

Does is also charge phone while will this also charge your phone while plugged into computer for data transfer?
