BLACK JASMINE recommend as a decent budget tea blend
I mostly purchase tea cultivars of higher grade quality, but still indulge in a good "budget tea" and trust the brand AHMAD. Due to small leaf size I strongly encourage purchasing paper tea bags for brewing if like me, you also hate tea dust at the bottom of your cup. The price for 1lb of tea is a steal! It will last me several months. I will also share that black jasmine tea is actually a rarity even in China. I made this purchase after a sample of a higher grade with actual jasmine buds but $25 for 3.5 oz ... (you judge the price) I loved the tea, but not so much to spend that much for another taste. :) So of course I did my searching and found this listing with the delight in knowing it was AHMAD and the quantity for the price made me pounce! Here is my official review as I am currently sipping my first pot. AROMA: as stated on the box it is with added "jasmine flavoring" so you'll find no buds in this blend. The aroma is that of a cheaper green jasmine tea or that of an orchid candle I have. This may be a red flag for tea "purists". You do get sort of an after taste as well from the jasmine. LIQOUR: light in color (more orange than red) and decently translucent for a flavored tea that is not high grade. Smooth and thick taste as I was generous with my leaf quantity. (I advise not using too much at first as the flavor is not so light) TASTTING: the leaf is similar to an orange pekoe or light Darjeeling. I'm sure AHMAD mostly sources Indian teas as they are a UK company. Leaf is by no means bitter, but be cautious as they make stronger blends that what most Americans are used to. This isn't meant to be watered down tea. LEAF QUALITY: 7/10 FLAVOR: 7/10 PRICE: 12/10

Another Ahmad winner!!
I admit it, I love Ahmad teas. I have yet to find one of theirs I don't love. In particular this green tea is really nice. And somehow, through what I can only assume is Ahmad magic, it does not develop a overwhelming tannin flavor if over-brewed. This is true for all their teas I've found (black and green). Don't let the light color of the tea fool you, it has a nice flavor and the beautiful, fragrant scent of jasmine. I usually get their bagged tea, I mis-read the description and thought this bagged as well. So my first experience with their loose leaf is wonderful. I have other loose leaf jasmine teas (I was being lazy and buying bagged) but now I'm not sure I can go back to the other brands. The hilarious part is you can buy decorative tins of their black teas at home goods stores pretty inexpensive and it seriously some of the best tea I've ever had. My friend gets me one every year and now I spend my cold weather months drinking Ahmad tea. Every new style I try is great, and they don't need gimmicky names, or flavors to impress. It's simply great quality that starts as soon as you open the box and smell the aromatics. So aside from being amazing and delicious it's extremely affordable and the tins can be reused and keep the tea fresh.

Nice smell, sweet taste, high quality
Small but very good. Has kind of apple-ish taste.Recommend!

Decent black jasmine tea, light jasmine flavor, can be bitter
Nice subtle jasmine flavor, could be stronger. Seems easy to get a bitter note, so perhaps I need to steep a few minutes after the boil.

Best tea ever!
My favorite tea ever. You can see whole jasmine flowers, unlike other brands, where there is crushed Flowers. Smell and taste absolutely amazing. Sealed bag inside keeps tea fresh, but you need to move it to air tight container after opening. If you want more caffeine, make tea stronger

Very Good 😋
It's marked as green tea on the can and advertised as black tea. The leaves are green and the tea tastes like a nice green tea with a perfect Jasmine aroma. The leaves are more chopped up like a black tea and that is the only similarity I can see to a black tea. 💯✔Recommend👍😁

If you're looking for an affordable black jasmine, go with the Sadaf Special Blend & Jasmine.
There are some teas that outperform their price range, and others that underperform, but I would say that you get what you pay for with this tea -- which is to say, don't expect too much (the quality is along the lines of a Tazo teabag). When I first opened the box, there was a rather astringent, chemical scent that wafted up from the tea leaves, which I'm assuming is the preservatives used to keep the tea fresh? I hoped that the smell would dissipate once I prepared the tea itself, but it still remained present ever after steeping and spoiled my overall drinking experience (perhaps the chemical scent is just from the way it was prepare/oxidized). Regarding the flavor profile -- it's a rather weak tea, with a translucent flavor, and the jasmine scent is barely present. In fact, I would describe the flavor notes as more similar to chocolate rather than jasmine. Steeping the leaves for a longer amount of time just makes the tea extremely bitter, and usually I enjoy drinking my teas very strong but I couldn't get through more than a few sips of a strong brew of this particular tea. The longer I brewed the tea, the stronger the chemical flavor. I was a bit disappointed -- having also tried the Sadaf Black Jasmine, I had higher expectations for this one, but now I know to just go with the Sadaf. One positive feature I will say about this tea: you really get your bang for your buck, if what you're looking for is a large quantity of a cheap, average black tea. However I will not be purchasing again.

The Best Tea!!
If you are a tea drinker, this is simply the best. I was buying Ceylon and English Breakfast as well as the Special Blend at the local market. I wanted to try others as the ones mentioned are excellent. I ordered Jasmine as well as Paradise. Neither disappointed! They are excellent. From the time you open the bag to the first sip, you will not regret your purchase! They smell and taste so good. Ones to savor. Plus the packaging is beautiful as well!!! Thanks Ahmad Tea!!!

Not overpoweringly flowery (a plus)
I love all Ahmad teas, but I was a bit apprehensive about trying this blend. Now it will be my staple: it's full-bodied, rich, slightly tangy and just with enough of a hint of jasmine to make it slightly exotic and different.
