Amber Book Light – Blue Light Blocking Reading Light for Bed, Stepless Dimming, Rechargeable Clip-On Night Light, 1600K Amber & 625nm Red LED for Night Reading

I use it for low light observations and photography with my telescope. It clamps easily on my tripod. Isn’t larger or cumbersome nor heavy at all and holds really well. Doesn’t move around and isn’t in the way or a problem at all. The amber light is a bit bright but doesn’t affect my night vision much. It’s good when I accidentally drop anything and record things in the log book. The red light is awesome. Very low light and I can keep it on during observation without disturbing the darkness. The amber/red combo light is good for quick logs and changing eyepieces. I’ve charged this once since I’ve got it. Haven’t needed to charge it since. Still holding holding charge well. Overall, whether for astronomy, astrophotography, reading and writing it’s well worth the investment.

I brought 3 items for a three weeks trip that I turned out loving and so am writing reviews for (which I seldom do ). This is the 3rd, and I am still using this at home that's how much I love it. So I credit this with helping me sleep better than before on trips, since the light is just on the page and less blue light. I like the last setting with the red and amber combo and can even dim it! It holds a charge for a long time, so long I forget to look and see how many dots are still lit showing the charge. So used about a month nightly and so far so good.

Sturdy, lightweight, extremely long battery life if used on a dim setting (like for reading before sleep). I really wanted an extremely dimmable light with red-light capabilities and portability, and this item absolutely checks all those boxes. I use it on a music stand to light up sheet music when I am practicing in the evening and I don't want to turn on a bright ceiling light. I also use it on the red light mode, very dim, to read before going to sleep. Excellent product, I am very happy with it. I haven't charged mine in months.

These little lights have now replaced four regular lights in my house. These are a great product. They seem to stay on forever. And the red light at night lets you see in the dark and never disturbs sleep. I use two at my desk instead regular lamps. They're brighter and the 2 light choices other than red make long sessions at work easy. I'll probably get more of these. They are a wonderful light. Oh, you can clip to a book and read too! Who'd a thunk it!

This seems to be a fine little book light. It has Amber LEDs, Red LEDs, and a way to turn both of them on at once for some reason. The light can dim if you hold the button down. It is a nice size in person, not too big or cumbersome. It seems to get bright enough for my needs and means no blue light right before bed. The people giving this one star saying it won't charge need to read the directions. You will need to have a simple, slower, 5v, 1 Amp USB charger to charge this. That is like the original chargers that came with older iPhones or something similar. If all you have now is fast chargers that expect to digitally negotiate the charging speed/voltage with a smart device on the other end of the wire, they simply don't work with this thing. So yes it does charge with a USB-C connection but no it can't be charged from most modern chargers. They put a piece of paper in the box telling you this. That is a little annoying just because if I am traveling I don't really want to carry a slow, older charger just for this thing. Chances are, most of us have a compatible charger in a junk drawer somewhere but it should probably be more clear that this needs an older, basic USB charger to work. At least they do throw in a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.

I haven't had a proper book light since the 90s when I had the 'itty bitty booklight' that got blazing hot and ate through 8 batteries every few weeks, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I'm really happy with it. I didn't discover the dimming function until the other day (whoops) but having 3 colors to choose from, plus the brightness, is nice. I was concerned with only having one button - would this be like my car's remote start that requires a Morse code novel just to operate? Thankfully no, the button is very intuitive and I have no problems operating it (unlike my remote starter). I haven't had to charge it yet. My only small complaint is the size of the clip. I guess I wish it were.... Flatter? Because it does create quite a bump in my pages and it just feels a little bulkier than necessary. The book I'm reading is thick so I have to clip the light in the middle of the book rather than on the cover. Minor, though, and wouldn't keep me from repurchasing it, especially at this price point.

i love this book light! my previous one was white light and was too bright when my husband was trying to sleep. this one has 3 warm options that are dimmable. i love the red and amber the best, and was surprised that the red was so easy to read with.

We’ve ordered 4 of these and 3/4 times there has been a defect (it’s a really good nightlight otherwise). The only one that actually worked we absolutely loved using it while we had it, however, we accidentally left it at a hotel. Lol. So here we are having ordered another replacement and it is giving us yet another issue. The main issues we’ve had is that it either won’t charge or just randomly stops working. This would be a great nightlight if it actually worked and wasn’t so cheaply made. Don’t make the same mistake I made and order a better product.

This is simply a brilliant reading light. It's very adjustable with brightness and various angles. It's very clever in that it doesn't use any of the blue light frequency that disturbs your sleep process. Just one thing to add, maybe it could be more travel friendly if it folded up for more protection. However this light is simply great. Stop looking and get this one.

¿LUZ DE LECTURA? Imposible. La medición a sólo 10 cm del foco de luz es de 220 lux a máxima potencia en la luz roja, parece una broma. Lo mínimo para no producir cansancio ni daño ocular son 500 lux. Las dos opciones de luz ámbar son algo más potentes, pero para mis ojos chillonas y molestas. No es el ámbar que imita a luz de vela que esperaba. Si lo que buscas es una luz pequeñita, muy pequeñita en realidad, para encenderla por las noches si te tienes que levantar y no desvelarte, creo que funcionará muy bien. Además, la pinza es potente y parece robusta. A pesar de que el anuncio especifica claramente que es una luz de lectura cuando no es el caso, para devolverla, me encuentro con la sorpresa que ya empieza a ser habitualde que tengo que pagar yo los gastos de envío y mandarla a otro país. Comparada con una luz equivalente comprada aquí en Amazon de “marca blanca” no veo diferencias que justifiquen pagar casi cuatro veces más. Quería que me gustara porque me gusta esta marca y soy muy fan de la terapia de luz roja, pero no ha podido ser.

Totally love this gadget. Battery life is good, with USB recharging, and the choice of three shades handy. Mostly I use it on deep red for rummaging at 3am

This is a great little reading light. More than bright enough to read with and doesn’t upset my husband as can be directed into the book with minimal light pollution to the sides. It is fairly lightweight and I have used it with ease fir both paperback and hardback books. Clip is slightly chunky but not bothersome and it remains steadfast without slipping. Not so keen on the red light option but the other 2 light modes are both great. Lasts for a good few weeks of bedtime reading without requirement for recharge. Would definitely recommend!
