Great Guitar foot rest, that has a variety of functions!
I use a standard office chair (with non-retractable armrests...!!!), to play guitar in my pseudo studio. I often find myself in a bit of discomfort after playing for a while - either some sort of hip pain or a soring back. I tried this out to see if it would relieve a little of that pain, and it did! I use this to rest alternate feet, to give my back a rest as I tend to arch myself forward in my...NOT made for guitar playing chair and that's only with LP or Strat shaped axes. The easy answer is to buy a more specific chair, but they're not as cheap as a foot stool! At this price point, it's worth a shot in the dark anyway! Hercules works well for my needs and he lives up to his name, as he can hold all of my weight for quite a prolonged period of time! There are different settings which I guess would suit most, especially those who play in the 'classical' position and players with pointy, sharp or otherwise 'awkward' shaped guitars, such as a V or Jackson Rhoads. If I were to find a fault, it would be that there isn't a huge amount of difference between the various angles or settings on the back of the footrest, perhaps a bigger variety of angles would benefit some? Didn't affect me though. Either way, it doesn't warrant losing a star, just an observation. Very happy with mine!

High quality footstool
High quality footstool, solid and very stable without being too bulky. Could certainly be easily transported in a gig bag if needed. Variable positions give necessary flexibility for players of different heights and playing position preferences. Very happy with the purchase.

Very sturdy
I was taught to support my guitar by crossing my right leg over my left leg and resting my guitar on my right leg, but I found this uncomfortable after a while. So I thought I would try a foot rest to raise my right leg to the desired height without the discomfort of crossing my legs. I have found using a foot rest much more comfortable as my legs are not locked so rigidly into a fixed position. This foot rest feels very sturdy. It is very easy to set up, to fold down again and to adjust the height. It folds quite flat when not in use although it's not flat enough to fit into a guitar case (I wouldn't expect it to be but I thought I'd mention this to avoid any confusion!). Highly recommended.

Definitely worth the higher cost
Very well made. It feels sturdy under my foot, not like the cheap one I had before. I don’t think the price is bad for what you get. There are other foot rests at half the price but they are half the quality, so you will end up buying another when you could just get this one in the first place.

Perfect!
My guitar tutor has a similar footrest and tries to encourage me to use it. I normally play sitting on a couch but I’ve had back and neck issues so I bought a stool. The footrest on my stool is too high so I’ve had similar Back and neck issues. I looked at footrests and decided on this one because I already have a Hercules guitar stand and music stand. They are absolutely fantastic and their quality is second to none. I found that I had no back or shoulder issues after using this footrest. I looked at cheaper ones but I think I can trust this one.

Sturdy and well made footstool
I now own two guitar footstools so can compare brands. The Hercules is slightly more expensive (though not much) but is much weightier, feels more sturdy and stable underfoot. My other footstool is by Stagg and while adequate it doesn’t have the same build quality and feels flimsy by comparison. Maybe you can buy better still but the Hercules is a real step up in quality and very good value. No hesitation in recommending.

Feels good
Feels nice and sturdy with good build quality. Only slightly smaller than my size 10 foot but still comfortable.

It does exactly what it is meant to do. Solidly made and large foot rest.
I bought this foot rest just to see if it would help add some comfort to my guitar playing position. I thought I did not need it and played a whole year without one. I would not say it's an absolute necessity but I find the guitar position to be more comfortable for me with the addition of the foot rest. The guitar seems to end up closer to my body which is what I want. It seems to change the angle of neck of the guitar slightly more upwards which is also what I want. I play in the regular position with electric guitar resting on my right leg (not classical). Anything that adds comfort to my practice sessions is more than welcome. Why did I choose this one ? While there are a lot of similar variations that all end up doing the same thing, this one is larger than most and I think that's important for stability. It's essentially the only reason why I chose this one plus the good reviews overall. It's very stable at the lowest position which is how I use it. At the lowest setting it's 5 inches high in front and 4.25 inches in the back. It's in a slight slant and they all seem to be like that. Perhaps some people would like it to go lower and unfortunately it can't get any lower. I'm not sure how high it goes at maximum height but there are several height settings which I will probably never use. Unless you want one that has to go lower like 3 or 4 inches, you can't go wrong with this one for the price.
