Awesome
This was easily fitted in a 2 "C" cell Maglight that is about 10 years old and the result is awesome. The torch has been transformed from producing an OK but by modern standards a weakish yellow beam, into a blinding white beam at least twice and maybe more, brighter. The bulb is expensive, but the result is really awesome and well worth doing.

Stunning Upgrade
Very pleased with this LED upgrade, which has transformed my elderly Maglite. The beam is very much brighter than the original, and comparable with modern LED torches. A direct comparison with a CREE torch claiming 250 Lumens, shows this upgrade to be brighter. The light is slightly yellower than most CREE torches, but nowhere near as yellow as the original Maglite beam. I prefer it as it is less harsh, and easier on the eye.So I get the benefits of a Maglite and a CREE torch in one, at less than half the price of buying an LED Maglite. Very pleased.

Brilliant - in both senses of the word
Brilliant - in both senses of the word. I have two old 2D Maglites that I am quite attached to. Apart from when they had brand new batteries in they were not of much use for more than finding the path in front of me. Thinking that I really need something better I bought Maglite's latest 3D led offering the ML300L, which was really nice; however, once I had bought it I noticed "people who looked at this item also looked at ..." these Maglite upgrades. For the price it seemed worth a go and got one. I was amazed how much it brought one of the old Maglites to life, even with semi-flat batteries. I was so pleased, I upgraded the second one too. If I had know about these upgrades sooner might not have bought the ML300L, despite its extra power.Photos attached. Before & after upgrade. Also both Maglites side by side with equally flat batteries. Note, my point & shoot camera automatically stops down to handle the bright light, so I would say the improvement is even better than it appears in the photos.

Excellent bulb for Maglite update
Excellent bulb to update you Maglite. Exceptionally bright but still works fine with standard beam focussing of Maglite. When I got the first bulb for my 3 cell torch I noticed on the packet that it also said it worked with a 2 cell touch so I bought a second bulb and it also works brilliantly with 2 cells too. Do know what the durability will be like but it says 100,000 hrs. Also haven’t tested battery life but I suspect it will be similar. Even if it is slightly less as it is a 4.5W I don’t use it all the time so this will not be a problem and would be a small price to pay for the dramatic improvement in performance. Overall a really excellent bulb and upgrade for a Maglite.

Excellent upgrade
I installed this LED replaced in a late 1990s (ish) 2xD cell Maglite. The bulb fits in perfectly in the same slot as the original and is wonderfully bright. The twist / focus still works with this replacement and it gives a new lease of life to an old favourite Maglite.Obvioulsy this isn't a cheap upgrade, but it's considerably cheaper than a new Maglite and is a huge improvement on the old style bulbs.

It works and it's dead easy to fit
Excellent little product. My ~15 year old 2x D cell maglite (xenon bulb) stopped working. I assumed blown bulb but couldn't see a broken filament. I was truly shocked how expensive genuine maglights are so gambled on this part fixing the problem and extending the life of the torch. RESULT! It took 30 seconds to fit. The torch works, is far brighter than before and I assume will have better battery life. Mission accomplished.

You Get What You Pay For.
Arrived before expected in a plastic box in a Jiffy bag. Easy to fit in my maglite torch and much brighter than the standard bulb supplied with the torch when new. If it lasts as long as they say it will, i.e thousands of hours, it will be a good buy. This is the genuine article and although there are slight variations in price, beware of much cheaper fakes. As with everything if the price seems too good to be true it's probably not the genuine article and you have only wasted your money.

bright revival
I've bought this 'bulb' to fix up my 2 D cell Maglite I bought in 1998. It's brightness is phenomenal and improves the product greatly. I was replacing the light after dropping the Maglite on a tile floor and just guessed the original bulb broke and it was the right guess (well, there isn't much complicated electronics going on in these flashlights so that just improves the reliability). I'm over the moon with this product and might even order a few extra ones just as a long term replacement security just in case anyone stops producing them in the future.
