These chassis ears are definitely a good buy. Ive used them quite a couple of times now that i work at Hyundai as a mechanic and the amount of people coming in with noise concerns have definitely made me put this machine through its paces. My workplace actually has the wired version of this but I didnt want to wait for whenever it was available for use and i personally dont like dealing with the wires, especially if the noise is outside the vehicle. The cost of this machine is definitely worth it. My only gripe is that i wish it came with longer cable ties but thats only because of the nature of my job. Its easy to use, the noise gets louder the closer you are to the source, and the signal light also helps. I absolutely recommend this to any mechanic who needs chassis ears.

Excited to use these as I have extensive hearing loss. This product will help me with noise level issues. The quality of everything in the package was great, however I will opt to purchase higher quality batteries than the ones that were included with this product. This product is worth its weight in gold. Comes with Velcro straps for easy install.

These are absolutely great for pin pointing exactly where a noise is coming from on a vehicle.

I grabbed this Steelman kit because my old Honda Odyssey has a mystery rattle that drives my kids nuts on highway trips. The clamp-on microphones are actually pretty good. I stuck one near the front strut, one by the rear suspension, and could hear the difference in real time from the driver’s seat. That part works well and saved me guessing at which wheel bearing was whining. What bugged me a bit is the wiring and clips. They feel a little cheap and get tangled fast if you’re moving them around the car. It still does the job, i just wish the cables and clamps were tougher so I wouldn’t worry about breaking them while crawling under the van in the driveway.

These work as good as any other chassis ear I have used. They are affordable, costing significantly less than other brands of the same quality. I have used them a couple of times and they have helped me diagnose suspension issues on customer vehicles. They are easy to install and as durable as any other chassis ear I have used previously.

Illegally being sold as a, “Brand New Unit”, but what I received is a repackaged, used kit. From all of the screws being stripped out, to literal melted spots on the leads and all of the scuffs, scratches & markings on every part. This makes it apparent that it’s no where near, the promised, Brand New unit. DO NOT BUY.
