Is as advertised, does what it’s supposed to do

I needed these to make a gasket for my oil burner. I could not find the gasket my technician told me to buy. So I made my own. I also am building a box to soundproof my generator. I am planning on putting these around the opening of where the exhaust goes thru. They worked for the gasket. If I remember I'll let you know if it works for the box.

So I tested one of them by putting a flame, I can confirm it does block it perfectly. Obviously it turns dark but it does do what it's supposed to do.
