PS5 Controller Battery

Good quality and affordable battery that was easy to install. I followed along with a youtube guide to replace it the controller battery with no issues. The screwdriver it came with was really convenience and good quality; however the little blue plastic wedging tool was not as helpful, but I think that's a "me" issue versus a quality issue.

Was super easy to swap my stock battery out in my scuf ps5 controller. These matched the dimensions of the stock battery perfectly and the extra battery power is very noticeable as it last way way longer in between chargings. I also purchased a pickle power battery that had even more capacity and it’s also working great. I actually marked each controller so I could do a long term comparison but so far the pickle power last much longer although I don’t think you could go wrong with either.

This was linked in some YouTube tutorial on how to replace the lithium battery in your DualSense PS5 controller and it was great! The tools they give you are perfect for the job, saved me $80 for a new controller and my old one feels like new.

Simply amazing kit, includes everything to fix a dead PS5 controller for just over ten bucks. All you need is this and a video tutorial and you'll be good to go. I first took my PS5 controller to a repair shop and they told me they would charge me more than the price of a new controller to replace the battery! So glad I bought this kit and replaced the battery myself instead of buying a new controller.

I bought this in September of 2024. Was great! Fast shipping, easy install, worked great, until it didnt. Fast forward to 2026. I come homw from work one day. And my controll turns on as usual. However, I notice that that the touch button on the controller has 0 button travel. I thought the controller had gotten damaged by a cat. So I disassemble the controller to find the battery was so swollen that it was pushing the button from the bottom side. Worked awesome until it didn't.

Two og white PS5 controllers bought at launch have been basically unusable unless plugged in because of battery issues, 20 min off charge to dead. Almost bought another controller before seeing this, figured at this price I might as well try before dropping $70 on a new one. New battery works perfect, controller is like brand new again after the installation. Really really happy with this purchase. Super easy install for a dope like me. Always shy away from taking anything apart because of the fiddly bits and worry about breakage, but again for this price, what the hey, they're bricks as is. Will be buying another to refresh my other controller and will be recommending to anyone else with battery issues on their PS5 pads.

Right now I give it 5/5 stars. Installation is easy as long as your controller will corporate. Mine didn't wanna come off the plastic clips (yes I did remove all the screws). Once I got it off it was pretty much common sense, take the old battery out and put the new battery in, tuck the wire in the wire holder, put the cover back on and ur good to go. When I first turned the controller on, it was a fullish battery. I let my character on gta go afk for roughly 8 hours. When I checked on it the battery was almost dead. So lasted 8 hours on roughly 90% of charge (dont know what it was when I got it other than it was full).
