As good as I hoped

Whilst this book provides cleaning tips some of the ingredients are not necessarily what you would have in your store cupboard so you need to think how often you are going to use them before purchase. Some of the methods used are time consuming.

I bought this book for my wife, she is loving it full of interesting information, some very useful tips and hacks.

So many useful and eco friendly cleaning tips that actually work! Mixing my own cleaning products now and they work so much better than toxic chemicals. Bought the green bleach, citric acid and glass bottles from Amazon too - easy to get started.

I follow Nancy on instagram and love her down to earth natural approach. First saw her on the Great British Bake-off with her yummy old school recipes. Heads up to Americans, this book is British so sometimes her terms are different and you may have to get her ingredients as locally hard to find. Recipes are in metrics, she talks about green bleach and surgical spirit (rubbing alcohol) and washing soda is what we call baking soda. I have made several of her recipes and working towards an eco friendly home and garden. My biggest savings so far is making her home made laundry detergent and softener.Lots of info here about replacing all the chemical products in your home for clean ones and saving money. Handy index and notes section at back of book. Great starter book for the home, now I need to get the Gardening one and getting rid of the chemicals there, it’s a great little reference book, easy to follow!

Very useful book full of "recipes" for environmentally friendly cleaning and lots of great ideas and hints.

I first bought the hardcover version but was disappointed, it arrived damaged and the overall quality of it was pretty cheap. I sent it back and bought the paperback, which is great and sturdy. Content wise, very easy to read and full of useful tips! Would recommend but no need to spend on the hard cover really.

Perfect for hints and tips to live a kinder life. Really all is so much simpler and friendlier to our environment than the shelves and shelves of chemicals we think we need.
