Happy with my purchase
Bought this to replace the old 8kw generator. I wanted a generator that would power our 5ton ac unit. Assembly was uneventful, with good supplied instructions. I filled it with the provided oil, added a couple of gallons of gas, and connected the battery. The engine almost started on the first crank, and came to life on the second crank. It is surprisingly quiet compared with my old 8kw set. and is less noisy than our 6kw Champion set. I have not yet tried to power the ac unit yet, but have done a trial run on basic house electrical system and the water well. While my 8kw set would really feel the well pump starting up, this set hardly noticed it. I've installed a soft start on the ac compressor and I do not anticipate any issue when, one day, using this generator. I will offer one piece of advice. Connect the battery before installing the adjacent wheel.

Poor customer service.
I've only fired it up once but it was pretty easy to start up. I have not had to use it for real yet. Noise level is average. Until I have an opportunity to actually plug it into the house for an extended period of time I cannot give an honest review. On the the surface it's a nice machine that should do the job. Fast forward 5 months. The generator will not start and Westinghouse will not help. Carburetor problems are not covered under their warranty. That's what I was told. Don't by a Westinghouse product. If you have issues, you're on your own.

Worked fine right out of the box
It’s a bunch of money to spend however my expectations were not let down. Easy instructions to prepare it for starting, started on second try, not as loud as anticipated, run my 5 ton house A/C and other things in the house and it had no problems starting the A/C (we do have a soft start on the A/C). Things we don’t like, the fuel filler in in the middle of the generator, it’s almost impossible not to spill fuel on the generator, they could have moved it to the corner opposite the muffler. Also the dipstick is extremely difficult to both remove and install. You must be careful to make sure it’s well seated or it will give an incorrect reading as well as could pop out. I would buy again.
