Will shielded keystones from ems work?

As long as the keystones are a standard size they should fit.

Will keystone jacks from other vendors work in this patch panel?

Yes. Most standard keystones will fit.

What brands of keystone couplers have you been able to get working with this? doesn't work with vce brand (the tab is too wide).

The True Cable Cat6/5e and Cat6a keystone jacks work fine. Cable Matters Slim Keystone Jacks and the V-Max Jacks from Vertical Cable work as well. You may need to use a flat head screw driver or pocket knife to push down slightly on the tabs so they snap in easier.
