Afro Hair Comb Electric Straightening Pick Black Hot Comb Styler

I was hesitant reading the reviews but brought it anyway! This is exactly what I expected. When I was young I would have the hot comb that was heated by the heat on a stove so I know exactly how these hot combs work. I’m so thankful they’ve made it electric! My hair is corse but this hot comb works extremely well at straightening out the thickness and works wonders one my edges (which I actually brought this for). I am natural so needed something that wasn’t going to get me bone straight as I love my hair looking straight but retaining its volume, bone straight hair for me looks flat and lack lustre. The comb itself has very thin teeth that you’d find on a normal hair comb with a rat tail. The comb has no heat settings just on and off but gets hot enough to not singe your hair off like some straighteners but visibly still gets your hair straight preventing devastating heat damage (of course id always recommend a heat protectant anyway even with the hot comb). I LOVE the fact I can use this to get deep down to the root unlike what I can do with a straightener (even a micro straightener) the small teeth in this comb really gets down to the roots and straightens the roots really nicely. Becareful using this comb and actually take it for a normal comb, I burnt myself a few times getting comfortable with the ease of use and totally forgot this is a hot comb! This is an excellent addition to my heat stylers and the one thing I’ll probably reach for the most if I’m entirely honest. Would recommend!

Best investment I have made for my frontal and closure wigs. - The hot comb lays my wig super flat, no humps or ‘mountain partings’. (I use the comb and straighteners in the “chase method” to straighten my wigs. And with styling mouse/foams, wax sticks and serums on all my wigs.) - The comb gets super hot, so I would recommend being very careful when handling it. It’s very easy to use, just one switch to turn on and off. But, there’s no temperature adjustment. It’s kinda sturdy, but I handle this with care though. - The price of this item tends to fluctuate on Amazon, I got mine for around £30 but have seen it on here for £50 and £60. Shipping was very fast. Mine was shipped and purchased from Amazon, not the individual marketplace sellers on here. I would recommend doing the same as Amazon sells the hot comb cheaper than the marketplace sellers (in my case anyway). - Would I recommend: YES Quality: 4* Shipping: 5* Value for money: 2* ( it should be much cheaper imo)

This comb is really good, it really revived an old wig I had and added some shine to my current one. Very easy to use, very hot but not to the point it burns the hair and also, a con, takes a long time to cool down but it's expected due to the material and heat. Straightens very quickly and I don't have any negatives to say about it. I've had it for over a month and it works perfectly

I bought one of these over 5 years ago and even though it’s still working very well, the copper colour on the comb is peeling off and looking unpleasant. This new one does not come with a carry case which is a shame as the old one did. It’s quite a bit more expensive than other hot combs out there and as I have not used any others I cannot say how the quality compares to them. However for me, the hot comb is very suitable for my Afro/Caucasian hair mix. It gets very hot so be careful with using it too close to the scalp.

Saves me having to put the traditional iron comb on the stove coz nobody got time for that when we need to press n go straight out the door. Heat up time is slow, could do with being hotter especially if u are trying to straighten a curly unit but it does definitely help somewhat. Just dont expect bone straight if u got negro natural hair. Great for taking kinks out of body wave wigs and natural hair if your hair is of that texture.. I still use my flat iron though so u decide. Do I regret buying it...NO.

This product is sold for Afro Caribbean hair. So I bought it as my hair is natural i.e I have thick long Afro hair. As I recently received the all clear from cancer I did not want to put chemicals in my hair but was attending a funeral so wanted to straighten my hair, which has now grown back thick, long and curly. Unfortunately, the hot comb did not get hot enough to straighten my hair. You could touch the hot comb without burning your hand. So my hair just remained frizzy. A waste of money, time and effort. In the end I had to attend with my natural curly Afro hair. I should of sent them back but as I used them, i.e attempting to straighten my hair - I didn't thing the supplier would accept them back. Very disappointed. This product is being mis-sold and should be removed from this site. Would not recommend - buyer beware!

Fuming that the plug type isn't advertised, wasted 75 dollars on something I can't even use without spending more money on an adapter. Future buyers this item uses a UK power plug.
