OXO Good Grips Kitchen & Herb Scissors | Stainless design slices through cardboard, twine, meat, vegetables and more

I bought these because they come apart and are easy to clean. I can use them to cut meat knowing I'll be able to easily separate the two blades for proper cleaning. There sharp, well made and work great.

Fantastic scissors. Brilliant design that can be completely disassembled to put in the dishwasher. I also use them for dress making. Sturdy, sharp excellent.

Super sharp good grip OXO kitchen scissors, decent weight, versatile, will handle most / all of kitchen chores. They fit the hand comfortably, so easy to use. They open wide to allow you to separate the blades for cleaning which is handy. No need for a blade cover as these scissors click together and stay closed until needed. Rust resistant stainless steel and a good quality, what you would expect from the OXO brand. Recommended

A good price for generaly good quality kitchen scissors. The blades are sharp and cut through most fish fins and skin but did struggle with the frills on a couple of dover sole I was preparing. The blades twisted apart so I had to nibble away a bit at a time. The blades did spring back to the correct shape. They'd be 10/10 if the blades were a little thicker to resist this twisting. Handy that the blades separate for cleaning but I suspect this contributes to the issue noted above.

I had no idea that OXO made kitchen equipment - I naively thought they just made stock cubes and awful TV ads in the 80s! It seems I've been missing a trick here with their equipment though... I was becoming more and more frustrated with the pair of scissors I was using in the kitchen. Probably the item I cut the most is chicken breasts or mini fillets and more recently I was finding that a bit of a struggle. Rather than one simple snip to cut through it was requiring more and more, especially to cut the sinew part on some of the breasts. I decided to look for some new scissors and quickly came across these OXO Good Grips Kitchen Herb Scissors. Lots of positive reviews so that's always a good start. When they arrived I was impressed at how they looked and felt, but that was nowhere near as satisfying as the sharp snipping noise they make. You can definitely feel the blades making good contact and they felt sharp. I decided to cut some chicken up, because that is pretty much what I bought them for, and they sheared through it like a knife through butter. Quick and easy and a satisfying noise during each snip. The scissors come apart easy so you can clean them which is a novel idea. The handles are quite large and perfect for my hands. My girlfriends hands are much smaller and she can use them OK but they don't open as wide for her, however she was still able to cut stuff so she's happy with them too. There isn't much to go wrong with these but I'll be interested to see how long they last. The next time I start struggling to cut chicken it will be a pretty good indicator that the scissors are blunt! I've not used the herb stripper (yet) so can't really comment on that part. It certainly wasn't a consideration for me when purchasing these scissors though. Pros: - Decent quality. - Sharp (with a satisfying snipping noise). - Come apart easily for cleaning. Neutral: - The handles are quite large, perfect for my hands but small hands may struggle to open them very far. Cons: - Perhaps £12 is a little expensive for a pair of scissors but I use them pretty much every day.

18 months on, functions as good as new, lovely and sharp and a breeze to clean. I’m a total oxo nerd. I’m one of those people that loves staying loyal to a brand when I know it’s worthy. OXO just make good quality home/kitchen utensils that work, really well and last. Any leftie (I don’t mean political views) will know how difficult it is to find a decent pair of scissor you can use. These are built really well and we’re not discriminated! Thanks OXO!

Fantastic scissors! I bought these for food prep and they get the job done. Cut through meat, poultry and leafy vegetables with ease. The selling point was being able to quickly dismantle them for a thorough was.

Sharp, very well made and the separation mechanism easy to use, which makes a change. This product is without question the best pair of utility kitchen scissors I have ever used.

Ok it's been a while since I wrote a review, but these are the best kitchen scissors ever. The tiny serrations are barely noticeable but they absolutely cut through everything. Like all OXO good grips products, the grip is freaking awesome, it's soft and textured and is even to hold even if your hands are slippery. The herb stripper is one of the coolest ideas ever and it makes stripping Rosemary so easy, I'm not sure about cilantro yet but I plan to try that soon, either way they blow the Farberware scissors from my old knife block they're replacing out of the water (which admittedly isn't hard to do). Highly recommend. I have a growing collection of OXO Good Grips stuff and I've been really happy with all of it so far. Their Salt and Pepper grinders are also super top notch. For 20 bucks, I don't think you can do any better, I checked out some of the larger brand's models and they seem less comfortable and no more durable for twice the money. I also like that the blades come apart, it makes them really easy to clean, I imagine easy to sharpen too, but with the serrations I doubt sharpening will be necessary any time soon (if ever). I'll be recommending these for a loooong time to come.
