I ordered this product because my child gave blood and their blood group did not match what we believed they should be. (Both my parents are AB+ and child came up as O+) the kit matched what the donor centre said so I made both my parents test and it turns out my dad is actually B+ (like me!) while my mum is AB+ so it’s perfectly possible for me to have an O allele which now makes my child’s blood group make sense. Have tested another child who is also O+ so waiting to find out with the rest of my children as until now, we all thought we were B+ given what we believed of my parents groups. Has put my mind at rest and a lot cheaper than the private clinics. My sister did same with hers and the known groups showed correctly so I’m happy to recommend this kit for anyone wanting to know.

So easy to follow the instructions and read the results. No problems at all and found it quite fun!

I followed all the simple instructions. The readings weren't accurate tho. It doesn't match any of the result photos. It's not just a chart that gives results, it's matching a sample of blood to some different pictures.

Take your time & read the instructions this is an important part. Also watch the video provided so you understand what you need to do.. Test doesn’t take very long to do & you can fill out the card & cover it with a clear plastic to keep in your filing cabinet or in your wallet etc.. The process is really easy.. ensure you have a clean area to work from & wash your hands & or the person you are testing.. The only items you need are a pen, water, cotton wool or tissue to press on your finger/thumb after the test is completed.. Results are easy to follow as long as you follow the correct instructions.. I was really happy with the results for my adult children & I did a control one on myself (already knew my blood type) which the results were the same.. I would highly recommend if you want an idea about your blood type this can be helpful for diets or other personal reasons..

Having a conversation with a friend about blood types, and because she knew her blood type and that of her family, she assumed everyone knew theirs and was a common thing, however turns out noone else did either! Decided to get one of these to do not for any particular reason, but just to see what it would say. Arrived in sealed packaging with all included bits and bobs needed. I have a thing about needles so had to get my friend to prick me with the lancet and drip my blood as couldn't bring myself to do it myself, but once it was done it wasn't so bad. My mother thought I would be an O or an A type as she is O but wasn't sure of my fathers blood group. According to the test im A+ so seems fairly accurate, but obviously don't rely on it 100% for medical situations. Slight downside is we didnt give it enough time to dry before putting the sticky plastic over it, and it managed to turn on its side in my locker so dripped blood and ruined the results and had to throw away.

Really good and easy to use, although much easier if there’s two of you it is still possible to do it on your own. I’m funny with needles so had my husband do the finger prick on me and I did the rest. It’s best to get everything set up to go before you start, make sure to follow instructions properly and you’ll have no trouble. Only one drop of water from the pipette on each circle and don’t swirl it until it says to. My husband had plenty of blood but my finger stopped bleeding very quickly, so I really had to push down on it to get enough. When you have to tilt the card you think the blood is going to run everywhere but it doesn’t, it stays within its confines. Extremely easy to use and read, and has answered for me and my husband our lifelong mysteries of our blood types! Really happy, especially with the price of it.

Make sure you read instructions carefully before beginning as you have to work reasonably fast when you begin. The link to a video is useful too. I needed to use a second Lancet on a second finger (which I had for glucose testing) to get enough blood onto the sticks. The results are not easy to interpret as the illustrations are much more graphic than the actual results. I ran a photo through 2 different AI programmes which both gave the same interpretation... which agreed with my best attempt at interpreting, so I'm satisfied I got a result.

Very easy. In fact it was so easy I thought I'd done it wrong. Read the instructions first. All of them. That way the steps in the test make sense when you do it. As it happened I didn't need to use the lancet because I cut my finger and used the drips from that. [Note: a cut or cat scratch producing clean blood is perfectly suitable substitute for the lancet, but never use blood from a dog or cat bite because the saliva and bacteria which will wreck the test and you'll get a wrong result. [Obviously once you've done your test remember to clean and treat your wound. Clean wounds don't scar; infected wounds do]. The test is worth doing and can save time in an emergency. **Public health announcement**: A hobby horse of mine, as a retired vet who has worked with cats for decades... If you are bitten by a cat you need antibiotics. Even if you upset the doctor by telling them what to do. But it is your hand at risk, not theirs. Cat teeth are long and inject bacteria deep down around the bones where washing with disinfectant won't reach. If left the cleaned skin will heal but the bacteria deep inside will be warm and cosy and will multiply so by five days you have a burst abscess. Abscesses are painful and require a lot of work to sort and you could still lose a finger. So get antibiotics early. This advice is approved by both the vets and doctors governing bodies.
