Ever After High First Chapter Raven Queen Doll (Multi-Colour)

Ever After High is by the same creators as Monster High (Mattel) and whilst not as big over here in the UK as in the USA or as big in the UK as Monster High it does seem to be gaining momentum and becoming increasingly popular. Like Monster High there are webisodes and I have seen an awful lot of them both with my nieces who are Ever After and Monster High mad and if I'm honest I've watched a few by myself too as I really quite enjoy them now. The theme tune is extremely catchy so beware if you haven't seen any yet as you'll be humming it for days! Ever After High is a boarding school where the children of fairytale and fantasy story characters are sent to follow their parents footsteps and embrace the same destiny. The thought is that if they don't then their stories will cease to exist and so will they, however not all of the students are happy with their destiny's. Raven Queen (daughter of the Evil Queen) is one of the students who is not happy with her destiny and has vowed to change her future whilst Apple White (daughter of Snow White) is more than happy to follow her destiny. So the school has been split with those that wish to embrace their future - Royals and those that don't - Rebels. Raven Queen is the Rebel daughter of the infamous Evil Queen and the one who started all of the Royal and Rebel separation at Ever After High as she was the first to reject her destiny. She is destined to follow in her Mother's footsteps and become the next Evil Queen but the problem with that is that she doesn't have it in her to be evil. Raven is a kind and good hearted girl who just wants to be left alone to make her own future and she wants a Happily Ever After instead of a Happily N'Ever After. Raven can cast spells but only dark magic ones as every-time she tries to cast a good spell it backfires. Her favourite subject is Muse-ic class which normally only the good princesses get to do. Her best friends are Madeline Hatter and Cerise Hood and she is roommates with Apple White. Raven Queen stands at around 26.5cm tall (this seems to be normal approx height for the Ever After High Dolls). Her hair is black and purple and has been styled into a swept back but left loose look with a silver studded hairband. Her makeup and eye detail is extremely well done and she looks really alike like her character in the webisodes. She has a silver feather detail shoulder and neck piece and a silver belt. Her bag is a black clutch style with mirror on and the bag does not open. She has a purple and black layered dress on which has a longer back than front and her shoes are a black high wedge style with feather and silver chain detailing on them. She also has a silver bracelet and black fishnet stockings. Her shoes, dress, hairband, tights and accessories are removable and so her outfit can be changed in future if new outfits become available for her. Her arms, legs, elbows, head and wrists are jointed and so fully poseable and she comes with the normal doll stand, key shaped hairbrush and little diary bookmark that all the Ever After High dolls come with. Her diary tells how Raven finds out that if she pledges her own destiny she gets to choose it, how she chose her Muse-ic class and also tells how her and Madeline are friends and were roommates before Apple changed rooms. Another really excellent high quality Ever After High doll which has been beautifully designed and made and is a good likeness to her character in the webisodes. All of the Ever After High dolls are beautifully made and each of the ones I have bought and have so far (Ashlynn Ella & Hunter Huntsman, Briar Beauty, Cedar Wood, Kitty Cheshire, Duchess Swan and Cerise Hood) have been absolutely gorgeous with lots of detailing and Rebel Raven Queen does not disappoint either.

Lets be honest, the doll you get is never going to look as good as the stock photo, and as a collector this really bugs me sometimes. However, with Raven Queen it is really quite close! She's such a beautiful doll and i'm incredibly happy with her, despite her being my least favourite basic doll from this wave. I do think that the size of her head doesn't look quite right with the high collar on her dress, which is a shame because she looks so much better in the artwork and webisodes. Despite this, she's a lovely addition to my collection with high quality clothes and accessories. She'll be worth a fortune in a year or two so look after her!

I love the ever after high dolls and so does my daughter who is slowly growing her collection. They are so beautiful and Raven Queen doesn't disappoint. Her purple and black hair is striking and her outfit is amazing- from her dress down to her back seam tights and her shoes. Everything is just so well made and detailed. The clothes on these dolls definitely set them apart from the other well known brands(yes I do mean barbie!). She comes with the usual key shaped brush and a black bag and a storybook

My great-niece (8 years) loved this and spent ages bending the hands/arms to hold the bag, then the legs so it could sit. Having loved the fact that Apple Whites little bag opened, she was slightly disappointed that the bag with this didn't open, but the disappointment didn't last long.. Her sister (4 years) also adored them so I'd say great for all little girls.

Very disappointed. Packaging has arrived with all the enclosed story, background information etc, which my daughter loves to read, in a non-English language. I also ordered the Apple White doll from the same supplier which has arrived "in English". Buyer beware BUT I feel let down as I see nothing in the product description which says the product has non-English speaking packaging/features. I'm sure many children will be disappointed to find they are unable to read the enclosed story.

My daughter is obsessed with Ever After and I found these dolls selling out everywhere or not being found on the high street. I was very pleased when it arrived. Well packaged, quick delivery and not a knock on the boxes. Very happy with the product. The little hands do fall off quickly but all extra parts can be bought on a well used auction site

Ho preso questo articolo per me (per collezione e passione) ma quando l'ha visto mia figlia di 4 anni se ne è innamorata. E' davvero splendida nei colori e nelle rifiniture, meravigliosa, in poche parole. Il prezzo è ottimo! l'unica pecca, se così vogliamo chiamarla, è che questa versione non è per l'italia, quindi nè la scatola nè il libro contenuto nella scatole, hanno testi in italiano.

Oh Mattel, Stop taking all my money. It's getting sad now. I'm going to be bankrupt now between Ever After High and Monster high. The faces took awhile to grow on me with these dolls but once I got to see them in person I was sold, They're beautiful, I can't wait for the Thronecoming dolls announced at toy fair. But the detailed outfits are so beautiful and Raven in my opinion is the (Second) fairest of them all (Granted I am a bit biased because she's Purple, And purple. And I really like purple and black together.) I cannot began to tell you how beautifully detailed and articulated these dolls are, The only things I'd say is keep in mind these aren't quite intended for smaller children since they have alot of small parts and the limbs could get broken by a child who's too forceful, And in the case of raven her shoes are really hard to get off. Also to parents, I buy these dolls as a collector but I do watch the web series and read all the stories that come with the dolls, And the message these dolls brings is a good one. The plot in a nutshell is Raven queen is the daughter of the evil queen who is destined to poison Apple white, But she doesn't want to be a villian, So she decides to change her destiny. The moral these dolls bring is that you don't have to ahear to what people tell you to be, You can be whatever you want. And it's your story to write.
