How do these work in damp environments such as a bathroom?

I don't think they would work because it advises a clean dry service. I use mine in the living room and it has been up several months now with a fairly heavy object on it without any problems. If there is no risk of breakage or injury these cost little enough that you may want to try it and see but no, I don't think it would work on tiles or near moisture or damp. I wouldn't advise it for a bathroom or even a kitchen. Hope this helps.

Will these stick securely to non-glazed pottery (like terracotta)?

I tried to use these on non glazed and stoneware glazed decorative plates and found that they did not adhere securely. They did not adhere at the edges on the stoneware plate and pulled away with a gentle pull from the no glaze plate. I didn't use them in the end.

Does the adhesive plate hangar stick to metal? Does it stick to plastic?

When the disc is properly applied, it certainly sticks to metal - a 600 mm diameter polished steel plate suspended by one of them has been hanging on my kitchen wall for well over a year now, and the disc shows no sign of losing its grip. I've not tried it on plastic, but I suspect that it would depend on what the plastic was. I wouldn't trust it on non-stick surfaces such as PTFE.

How strict is the 3lb weight limit? We have a 3lb 10oz bowl that we are trying to hang. Would this work? Is there a stronger alternative?

The 140mm seems to be the largest disc on offer and goes up to 3lb in weight,so i would say you hang a heavier plate at your own risk,is the plate large enough to use two hangers side by side.Good luck.
