Draper 55806 Automatic Wire Stripper and Cutter , Blue

I was looking for a long time for a tool to ease my work and I found how to make the everyday job easy. Buy with confidence it is well made and precise on the peeling off of the plastic from a cable.

Its an okay product over all and gets the job done for the hobbyist who cannot be bothered to spend the time to strip down individual wires. I was using it for stripping 4 core LED strip wire and it handled that just fine as well as single core threads. Only used on thin-med thickness wires but it has handled it quite well. The operation of the unit is a bit clunky and where it looses a star, I am glad I had read the instructions as it pointed out that I needed to grease/oil the rear section of the unit, this did make it slightly less clunky but the overall ease of use is simple enough but getting the right precision on how deep the blades go in can be a pain. For me though, when dealing with a lot of wire stripping from time to time, it will come in useful but would purchase something better quality if I was to use it lots or had a large project that included lots of stripping.

I bought this for the charity where I work and all the volunteers really like this item as it is ideal for the job, well made and easy to use. The first one disappeared to one of the other sections so they come with recommendations. Not adequate for a real professional but ideal for amateur use on lite cable.

Very easy way to strip down wires for electronics projects etc. Handles very small wires well.

Good price but fair performance. Stripping length is not accurate and not clean. But I would say I cannot expect more with this price

Bought to use on vehicle electrics, was looking forward to these arriving to make my job easier. The item does the job it’s suppose to do however the build quality isn’t the best and quite flimsy I have doubts that this product will last long before braking. Update: I have now had these numerous months and unfortunately can confirm my initial doubts. This item is very intermittent weather it will or won't strip wire, and have now had to buy a new better quality set I would advise against buying theses.

Purchased as I needed my own strippers for work instead of searching for the communal ones. They have proved invaluable & an excellent buy. Update:- less than one month of use has seen these disintegrate whilst being used for work...... so not fit for the job intended.

I bought this to strip some ribbon cable. It just doesn't work very well. the jaws don't hold the cable so that the cutters can pull the insulation off. the cutters don't mate very well so one side strips and the other side just scrapes the insulation. The cutter does work well to trim the cable so you can try again.

wenig Geld, gutes Produkt. Keine Probleme beim abisolieren, bisher verwendet für Kabel bis 2,5mm². Der Seitenschneider ist scharf, tut was er soll, hab versucht ein großes Kabel damit zu durchtrennen (20mm² Kupfer), hat nicht funktioniert, is aber auch dafür nicht gedacht, bei allen anderen Arbeiten gut geeignet. Verwende ihn nicht allzu oft, kann mir gut vorstellen, dass er bei täglichem Gebrauch nach einigen Wochen/Monaten den Geist aufgibt, für daheim aber absolut ausreichend

He comprado 2 uds. Primero una que estuve probando y funciona muy bien. Me gusta más que otro estilo de pelacables que hay. Además da sensación de robusto.
