A well made, well designed console with a great screen and 3D that just works – worth upgrading if you play a lot of 3DS games.
I upgraded from a 3DS XL and I'm very pleased with the result – a few things worth mentioning based on the reviews I've read online. Firstly the lack of charger – it's not ideal, but the charger comes separately in other countries as well, it looks like Nintendo want to standardise their packaging across countries; I think the bigger mistake is Amazon's copywriting team not putting "Charger sold separately" in bold text as one of the key sales facts listed at the top of the page and making it an easy bundle choice. Transferring data from an old device – this was a lot easier than many review sites claimed and the manuals supplied are very clear on the process; the key annoyance cited in many reviews is the need to unscrew the rear casing of the device to access the SD card. I personally think that's a positive – it means both the battery and your data card are safely shielded from accidentally coming loose. I'm an adult, but I can absolutely understand that Nintendo would want it to be a deliberate act to remove the cover rather than have accusations that young children have easy access to what is a fairly dangerous (when mishandled) lithium ion battery. Having done it, it's really easy, the screws are not long and are retained by the rear cover plate – replacement plates come with their own set of screws. Given the design goals of simplicity, safety and allowing for customisation, I think Nintendo got this right. The new stable 3D – it really works well even in low light, it's not foolproof but you have to be shaking the device around like a lunatic to get it to lose focus – so for the first time I can play action games like Mario Kart and Starfox that can make the console wobble around as you play and still enjoy the 3D effect. The screen size – I've sized-down from an XL and I really think the new device nails the right size for mobile gaming; I'd urge you to try both if you're doubtful but I find the smaller denser pixel display easier to look at for longer periods than the XL, it's a trick of the optics but going back to some older games, they do seem sharper and more detailed: Luigi's Mansion 2 looks fantastic. It also feels very well made, in a way the old XL didn't, good though it was. I wouldn't want to mistreat it but it feels the way a Nintendo should: functional, solid and utilitarian like the Gamecube and DS Lite were. I feel like I can throw it in a bag without worrying it's going to stop working – It's not trying to be trendy or fashionable, it's just trying to be a good portable games console. It is.

Complete waste of money.
Dead pixels and cracked and dirty corners. What a waste of £264.

Very Good!
I got the White version of the New 3DS, and checked out all of the apps. The box came with the console, the stylus, some AR cards and a operations manual. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a charger, so I had to wait a extra day to play with the 3DS. Also, when I opened the 3DS, I noticed the console wasn't fully charged so I didn't have a lot of time to play around with it. However, I really liked the ability to go on a browser. I also liked that you could make your own Mii's, play Face Raiders (a game that I find very funny and amusing) and have a welcome or very short demo of "Tomodachi Life" which is a game I'm looking forward to getting soon. Power saving mode is very useful, especially when you're in a place that doesn't have wifi or Internet. I don't like the fact that you have to have a certain amount of power to go on the browser, but I guess that's the situation with most devices. I really like the New 3DS (a really crazy name for a epic product.) I would intend to bring it to any journey I go to. Therefore I give this product four stars: Very Good, but I think it could be a tinsy bit better when you first get it.

Great device a good upgrade and better than a ps vita
I had the last generation 3ds and sold it last year, Then i bought a ps vita which is a great device however it had not many games so i sold that recently and bought this new 3ds. First of all it is an improvement over the last generation 3ds, it feels solid (better than previous 3ds) and looks nice. I like the plates which you can change as it can personalise your device which is also fun. The new add of from previous 3ds and 3ds XL is the new analog stick. The analog stick is a good addition however i feel it is a bit on the small side and sometimes awkward to use but hopefully i will get used to it. The screen has also improved in size which is great and the new 3d effect is great as now when you move your head the 3d will still be visible and not blurry (yes there is some delay when the device adjusts to where your eyes are but it is good). the addition of the new ZL/ZR are good (however haven't used them properly yet). Also the device now uses Micro SD cards which i like and also a removable battery. The new processor inside helps boost the power in the new 3ds as downloading is in my opinion quicker and with a battery which apparently lasts longer, although for me i can get just over four and a half hours of battery which is good enough but could be better (although thanks to the removable battery you can improve this). Okay so if you are thinking about get a 3ds then i would say upgrade to this as it has lots of games as well as games exclusive to the new 3ds (so its future proof for a couple of years). All in all great device and i would rate this product 10/10

Sticky and not cleaned
It arrived quickly and was packaged in bubble wrap nicely. Only issues are that once I opened the pink case and picked the ds up I noticed it felt sticky. Had some weird sticky patches as shown in video and when I removed the cover plate found more inside. Had to clean it all out. Also the micro card had pictures and videos of whoever owned the ds before hand as well as videos of their family from like 2015. Thought it should've arrived both cleaned, checked and old media deleted. I checked the ds turns on and plays games as normal but would've been nice if the seller had checked it properly as was detailed in the description.
