MasterClass Black Marble Rolling Pin and Stand Set

Lovely piece ok kit. Good weight. I’ve recently started using pastry in cooking so this is ideal for rolling. Easy to clean. Recommend.

We've been using this for just over a year now and it looks and performs exactly the same as when we bought it. It gets a lot of use and is always washed with care and placed back on the stand. Remember that this is marble, so there can be imperfections that the manufacturer is unable to detect and its not designed to be thrown around like a wooden one. The people who give this a one star review after dropping it on the floor and breaking it, probably consider the crayon section of a supermarket, an all you can eat buffet. It keeps cool as you use it so its perfect for pastry. Its a good size and we have had no issues with rollability. Good value for money and easy to use. If we ever break this by being careless and dropping it on a floor, you can guarantee that we will be purchasing a replacement.

When I first used this rolling pin I thought I never used something as efficient as this one (taking into account all shorts of kitchen tools I ever used not only rolling pins). It worked alone and it meeded one touch to make a thin and perfect pastry and the kitchen clean as if nobody had worked there. (In fact I made the pastry in a bowl, left it in the frig for a while and then put it between 2 baking sheets. With one touch I had my pastry ready). I was so excited that I brought it with me at work to show it to my colleagues and photograph it for the food magazise I work in. I entered the big glass entrance as usually in haste and hit the entrance door. The door did not collapse although the noise was awful but my perfect rolling pin broke in 2 pieces. This left me a bit perplexed and very dissapointed (not by the rolling pin but by the fact that I cannot use it and have to buy another). If you dont have the intension of taking it with you when you are in a hurry and if you dont let it fall down in your kitchen floor this is really the perfect rolling pin. Heavy, cool, easy to use. Not used yet so cannot comment on its use. Looks good and have no doubts will be ideal in use. Better than a wooden one as my old wooden one has split (although did have for a long time). Very heavy and cold, just whats needed for pastry.

What can you say about rolling pins? They are what they are, and I would have to be a tele-shopping presenter in order to be able to describe the positive attributes of them. However, compared to all the others I saw recently in a high street store, this is by far the heaviest and most impressive of them. I remember how in the old comedy sketches, wives would threaten to beat their husbands around the head with a rolling pin. Those were made of wood whilst this one is made of marble, and even tapping someone's bonce with this would most likely kill or maim them. It comes with its own little stand, which allows it to take pride of place in your kitchen as a kind of ornamental piece. It is a thing of beauty and much nicer than those basic wooden or plastic ones. We have black marble counter tops so the rolling pin just adds to the kitchen. The only bad thing that I can mention is that I've seen several retailers selling exactly the same rolling pin using their own brand. There is no maker's mark or label on it, so I can only presume that these are all sourced from the same origin and then sold as their own product. The price is always around the same - just under £20 too.

I had a wooden rolling pin for over 15 years that finally broke. My family bought this one for me to replace it, hands down best rolling pin I have used. The marble is wonderful. Lovely weight to it. Looks great on the counter with the stand too. Has even double up as a pestle and mortar by using the end!

Arrived well packaged and without any flaws/cracks etc. Really nice looking and a good weight for rolling out pastry.

Black marble rolling pin with good heft. French style with no handles. Large enough for pie crusts, biscuit dough and pizza dough. Non stick naturally.

Prodotto valido, adatto a cucine casalinghe e pure gradevole da vedere. Peso non eccessivo. Si pulisce con una passata sotto al rubinetto. Utile il supporto, dato che questo tipo di mattarelli sono fragilissimi e una caduta al suolo li distrugge.

Schade.... Ja ich muss wirklich das Wort Schade verwenden, weil ich Ihn gerne schon früher im meinen Küchensortiment gesehen hätte, dann wären mir die unzähligen vorherigen Roller erspart geblieben. Dieser Teigroller ist wirklich sein Geld wert! Nicht nur das er wirklich schön anzusehen ist sondern im eigentlichen Zweck ziemlich unschlagbar. Hier ein paar Punkte welche Ihre Kaufentscheidung beeinflussen könnten: 1. Design: Wirklich schön anzusehen und in der Ablage kommt dieser gut zur geltung. 2. Material: Das Material eignet sich richtig gut zum ausrollen von Fondant ich habe mit diesem Roller weit aus weniger Probleme als mit vorherigen Materialien wie Holz und Kunstoff. 3. Gewicht: Durch das Gewicht ist dieser zwar etwas schwerer händelbar, aber durch das Gewicht lassen sich Fondant und Teig schnell und sauber ausrollen. Klare Kaufemphelung!

Le roulot est long et lourd, il étale la pate seul sous son propre poid. Ce n'est probablement pas du marbre de première qualité à ce prix la, mais ca suffit largement pour cuisiner. Le marbre à la particularité d'être très lisse (car poli) et du coup il faut prendre le coup de main pour s'en servir correctement, car il n'accrochera pas comme un roulot en bois ou en plastique. Le lavage est très simple grace a cet aspect lisse, les morceaux de pate ou la farine partent directement dès qu'on le passe sous l'eau. Le petit socle est un peu gadget car très petit par rapport à la taille du rouleau, ca peut servir à le poser et éviter qu'il ne roule, mais personnelement je ne m'en sert pas.
