Huge fan and fantastic base! My new go to for my étouffée
I’ve been using Better than Bouillon for years for Chicken and Beef stock base and it’s one of the best. Since Lobster is not available in store local to my area bought this mostly for my Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp étouffée - game changer! Just added a new level of body, depth and flavor vs other similar stock options. Highly recommend all their bases!!

Good stuff!
This stuff is the best seafood type bouillon I have ever used . Great flavor and fairly reasonable price. Holds well in the fridge. I use it every time I make seafood gumbo. But I have used it in make seafood dishes like crawfish etouffee. Lots of uses.

Pretty good for ramen!
I prepared a Marichan block of ramen, tossed the chicken flavored seasoning packet to the side and scooped up a half teaspoon full of this stuff and added it to the water. I covered the bowl and let it go it's seasoned ramen thing. The flavor was good. It DEFINITELY had that lobster flavor and there was a hint of fishy. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be but, at the same time, I was far from disappointed. I feel that it would be unfair for me to base my entire review on one bowl of ramen and I do have some ideas for other things to try it with. But, for now, I'd give it, strictly as a ramen flavor, 4/5. I'll come back and review again once I've tried other ideas that the internet suggests.

Shipping needs some attention
Product arrived wrapped in bubble wrap inside card board box in which it had leaked. Jar sealed but leaked while laying on its side. Product still good but could have been spoiled. Shipping may need some attention to prevent rolling in box. Thks!

Terrific for all seafood dishes.
This is difficult to find in our local grocery stores, so I'm grateful to find it on Amazon.

No Lobster Taste
I cannot taste lobster in this product or in the broth of the bisque I made with this product. I made a lobster bisque last night. There is a photo of the jar in this listing which shows a recipe for the bisque, but my jar didn't have the recipe on it. However, the ingredients list does show that "cooked lobster" is the first ingredient, and salt is the second ingredient, so I would expect there to be a strong taste of lobster, or at worst, a weak taste of lobster. But I cannot smell or taste any lobster and neither can my wife. The contents of the jar smells more like a soy sauce. Nonetheless I made the bisque and I even added a half cup of cooked lobster tail. I could not taste any lobster in the broth at all and neither could my wife. The broth was not unpleasant to eat - it just didn't taste like lobster - not even a hint of it. Interestingly, I noticed that the website on the jar in the photo of this listing which is superiortouch.com does not come up. On my jar, the website is listed as betterthanbouillon.com so I went there and found the lobster bisque recipe. However, the recipe is a little different - the one shown in the photo on this listing shows that 1 cup of white wine is needed with 1 TBS of the lobster base. But the recipe on the betterthanbouillon site says I should use only 2 TBS of white wine and then 1.5 TBS of the lobster base, which is 50% more than the early recipe. But if that's true, then why do both jars indicate 38 servings are in the jar??? Doesn't make sense. Since it's an 8 oz jar, there should be 16 TBS of lobster base. Anyway, I used the website version recipe which calls for 1.5 TBS of the lobster base, and when all was said and done, we couldn't taste any lobster in the broth at all, even though I added my own fresh cooked lobster tail meat to the bisque. Very odd, especially since adding lobster meat is optional. It's as if they forgot to add the lobster meat to the product. I will try this bisque recipe one more time and edit the review if needed, but I'm not optimistic. If it fails again, I'm not going to throw it out - I'll use it mixed with a BBQ sauce for chicken or something... and cook some thighs on the Weber. :-)

Excellent base for seafood dishes
I've been trying to get hold of this for ages. I found it in my local supermarket once- where I think it was stocked accidentally- and I used it for making various shrimp and seafood dishes, but I've not seen it there again. I've looked for it online, but it has always been prohibitively expensive, or the company won't ship to Canada or they charge exorbitant shipping fees. So I was delighted to find it on Amazon at a reasonable price- $41 for three at the time of ordering. This will last me a couple of years of making seafood soups and sauces. It's much less bother than using prawn shells and tastes better than using chicken bouillon- even in a dish like gumbo, which is what I mainly use it for.
