FOLDING SHOVEL/SPADE WITH PICK WITH GREEN POUCH

I seriously rate this item as a Winter Essential for your Car Boot. Whilst you would never want to dig the garden or allotment with it this well-made Folding Shovel/Spade with Pick could just possibly be the item that saves your life if you are unfortunate enough to ever get stuck in deep snow in your car. It even has a useful saw element to it which could shift a fallen branch with a degree of effort. The great thing about this is that it folds neatly into a durable pouch so it hardly takes up any room in your car boot anyway. It should probably be correctly called a Trenching Tool which also means that if you enjoy camping it could easily be used in this context too. A great product and a great buy. There is something of the Big Boys' Toy element about it too which makes it a nice thing to have in the car!

This is one of the best, if not the best fold-away, pocket sized spade/shovel that I have seen. Strong construction. Handle made of sectioned, fairly thick, tubular steel with two rubber hand grips. The spade end is made of fairly thick steel that would not be easily bent. Once taken apart and folded, it fairly easily fits nicely into a coat pocket. For the price it is being sold at, it is worth every penny. I am using mine for digging up metal detecting finds. I would recommend this product if you are metal detecting or camping.

This product is very good at this price, it is very well made and is quite sturdy too. It folds down and can fit into a small bag that is attachable to your belt. It is much stronger than it looks and can take quite a bit of abuse. If you are into metal detecting and want something small, light and easy to carry this will work perfectly for your needs. There is also a small compass on the tip of the handle which can be quite useful if you are camping out in the middle of nowhere. A great little gadget that comes in handy quite a bit. The one I received was a branded one made by 'Maplins'.

Not terribly sturdy, but good for the price. The carrying pouch is nice to be able to drop it into a backpack without getting other things dirty. There is a small compass on the end of the handle. It was bent, but since I didn't even know it would be there I wasn't concerned.

I would give this 0 if i could this is as strong as cardboard, yes it might as well be made out of cardboard. I used this once and it just crumpled I had to stop using it or it would be worse and fall apart around me. a total utter useless shovel its like having cutlery made out of chocolate no good for anything. had to cut short my metal detecting search because of my shovel crumpling around me. I know it was cheap but com on it should at least be able to cope with something its made for.

ive got 7 shovels and this is the best one so far, i take it out on my belt everywhere I go, pubs, clubs ,and iam the envy of all my friends.iam a professional truffle digger and it is just the job, easily concealed, robust and totally practical for all my needs.

The blade is about 3.5 inches wide, this is a toy. If you are looking for a toy then this might suit your needs. If you are looking for a "trench shovel", look elsewhere.

very very happy with this little gem of a shovel really great for building Dakota fire pit for my wild camping outings, its very strong if you wanted even stronger just replace the bolt pin with a stainless steel bolt and nutt.but I didn't need to do this ,folds down to under 6inch comes in its own little bag ,light for a steel folding shovel,the screw in handle takes it to a good enough length for leverage for digging,also has a little compass im very impressed with it and far better than the other folding shovel with sideways handle,trust me this little shovel is brilliant....ATB...colin
