Perfect for Filling and Smoothing PLA 3D Prints
I’ve been using this Vallejo Plastic Putty for a few weeks now, mainly on PLA 3D-printed parts, and it’s worked really well. It’s very easy to apply straight from the tube and spreads smoothly into layer lines and small gaps. Once dry, it sands down nicely and leaves a smooth surface, which makes a big difference before painting or finishing prints. I’ve had no issues with cracking or flaking, and it bonds well to PLA. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about it, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and saves a lot of time compared to mixing fillers. If you do any model making or post-processing of 3D prints, this is a very handy product to have.

Amazing stuff, worth every penny just from the time saved.
I've used miliput most of my life for various tasks from filling to scenic modeling to custom parts for models and it's always been fine for the job provided you're prepared to put in the work finishing it. I have also tried the Revel plastic filler and again, it's fine for what it is, also requiring a lot of work carefully applying it and then gentle sanding and finishing to get a good clean fill. For very fine work though, it's always been miliput as nothing else quite does the job. Searching for filler here on Amazon I came across this. I've been using Vallejo paints for quite a while, but I had no idea that they did other things as well. The price of not having any kind of model store on my rock means that I only find things like this by accident. So, out of curiosity I ordered a tube. Well, I'm converted, I will definitely be ordering some more of this stuff to make sure I have a bit of stock in. Straight out of the tube it's already smooth offering a very nice pliable paste to work with. No stringy bits, no lumps no hard work mixing and moulding it so it's warm and pliable. That it has a fine point applicator attached is a bonus of course, but it's not the important part. This paste is quite wet, so can be spread easily around a joint and to fill gaps, it's workable straight out of the tube, so fine putty tools or similar work with this well. It spreads smoothly, fills and evens edges and is just amazing. When I think of all the hours spent working and sanding, filing and cleaning to get a good finish, and there's this which is pretty much perfect out of the tube... Suffice to say that while my box of miliput will always have a purpose, I will now be using this for fine level filling. It dries fairly quickly once you stop pushing it around, and it sands down beautifully. Finishing is easy as there is less work to do applying this, so you can get a decent surface very quickly, the sanding is then a simple task of finishing it off rather than working down to the surface you want. This is about as close as you can get to the perfect, fine level model filler.

Good for small filling only
This fills small cracks easily, and works very well for the curved surface of upper wing roots. Because it's water based there's no odour and it's non-toxic so can be smoothed on with a wet finger; might be the best choice for children. The nozzle is very fine (<1mm) so you have good control of the initial application too. It starts to harden very quickly, so it's essential you only apply it to one area at a time as I found it grains within a minute or two. It also doesn't appear to sand well and the adhesion on larger areas (for example, a sink mark on a plastic part) was very poor - a tried three coats before giving up, scraping out the filler with a fingernail and rectifying it with just one application of Milliput. Generally, I prefer it to my previous solvent based filler, but the choice of water base does limit its use; if you remember this it is very quick and easy to apply.

Perfect product
This stuff is really good - I have nothing to compare it against but all I can say is I did my research went for this and my aircraft model you cannot see any join on the fuselage so perfect really. Nice consistency as well so easy to work with

great filler for plastic models.
the best all round putty for plastic models, apply it , leave for a couple of minutes and then smooth it off with a damp cotton bud.

A must have for modellers
Works well but requires building up in layers and allowing to dry when filling larger gaps. On the whole good but then again I have not tried other brands to get a good comparison.

A excellent alternative to Tamiya putty, water base instead of solvent based.
