A must-have for contracts attorneys!
This book is FULL of valuable information, tips and tricks on all things contracting! I’m a brand new attorney with some years of drafting experience, but this book has opened my eyes to the bigger picture and contains such useful and practical guidance that anyone in the contracting world can benefit from. If you’re a contracts attorney, in-house professional, or a law student seeking to break into the world of contracts—this book is for you!

Excellent reference book for commercial contracts
Laura made her book twice the size and twice as nice as the last edition. A must have book for those starting out in the contract world. Good guidance on key legal issues and negotiation positions. Practical contracting knowledge you don’t necessarily get in law school. I deal with government contracts as well so I keep Laura’s and Chris’s books on the shelf. All very good books on navigating contracts.

A must get for all lawyers who work on contracts!
If you’re a lawyer who works on commercial contracts on a daily basis, this is the book to get! Laura Frederick does an incredible job breaking down complex contract terms and principles into easy to understand concepts. I bought her first edition of Practical Tips on How to Contract over a year ago. Just got her second edition delivered two weeks ago from Amazon. So good!

Fantastic
Laura Fredrick has done it again. This expanded second edition Practical Tips on How To Contract is loaded with easy-to-understand contract drafting and negotiating tips. No overly complicated legal jargon that is difficult to understand. The best part is that this book has illustrations. Yes, to the hilarious cartoon graphics. I highly recommend this book to lawyers and other contract professionals. -Flo

If it's what you're looking for it's good
This is more for the law side of the contract. I was looking for ideas of things. You should make sure you have in the contract to avoid going through the law part of it.

The book’s target audience is obviously those in the US. Nonetheless, people who live in civil law jurisdictions and tend to shy away from dealing with contracts can learn a lot from this book, as it is filled with practical tips on how to approach contract reviewing.

A toilet seat read in essence, not a valuable legal resource. Very basic. Gives ideas on what questions to ask yourself, without giving any answers or instructions on what the implications of different scenarios are.
