VViViD+ Honeycomb Matte Black Medium Pattern Car Wrap Vinyl (1ft x 5ft)

Just open measure cut peel and gently add. Just keep out the air holes and cut to fit not fold and use a sharp knife, pair of scissors and other cutting tools. The texture and pattern are nicely detailed I just had to make sure I match the pattern to make uniform. Once fully attached just use a hair dryer on high as you gently use a ruler to gently press and after done. It can’t stretch and until heated it is as sticky as electrical tape but once heated and on it looks great. It was so much easier than painting and heat resistant to what degree. It is warm to the touch but never burned me. The adhesive is aggressive so make sure you have everything ready when using. It is not crazy about EVA foam but with the type I bought it didn’t work 100% but by adding a metal plate at the end of each section it stayed on. I tested some on metal and it made it water resistant it just wicked off. The ultimate test is a generic body suit. The pattern reflects mass effect and a batman costume. The nicest thing about ordering this is learning it can completely customize my bike and with strategically placed metal plates on a bike helmet I can make unique gear for my new hobby. DIY for others the recent project and making custom costumes has made me interested in doing this with people. I am pleasantly surprised by how good this was just has a little learning curve and once you learn it you can use it for anything.

I absolutely love this material. Gives whatever I put it on a very classy and luxurious feel. Easy to install and a very good deal. Sticks really nice and pretty durable so far. Can take heat pretty well and is moderately stretchable I wouldn't recommend though due to pattern

I ordered the VViViD+ Honeycomb Matte Black Medium Pattern Car Wrap Vinyl (1ft x 5ft) to test on my center console and some interior trim pieces. The material is thick, stretchy, and easy to work with. The honeycomb texture looks really sharp in matte black and gives a nice custom appearance without being too flashy. It adhered well after proper cleaning and heat gun use. Air release channels helped avoid bubbles. The 1x5ft size is perfect for small accents or testing before buying a full roll. Pros: Good thickness, realistic honeycomb texture, easy to install, great matte finish. Cons: Small size (only good for accents), edges can lift if not properly heated/sealed. Overall, solid vinyl for the price.

I’ve used vvivid vinyl for windshield banners and small projects, decals and have never had an issue with the product. This was my first time wrapping a large surface. I also bought the wrap tools kit which was huge. U want to clean the surface with alcohol, lay it as flat as you can, work from the middle squeegee left and right very gently. you can lift the material off the surface and try again if you mess up. It does have air release so if you see a bubble or “finger” you can slowly squeegee the air out . go perpendicular to the “fingers” to be sure not to crease vinyl. you want about two inches overlapping whatever piece you are wrapping. use heat on the corners and edges to pull and wrap under the edges. you don’t want to apply too much heat and stretch this , not because it’s not capable, it’s because there is a pattern. you don’t want to cut the wrap to the edge you want it to go around 180* and that way it will be pulling away from the center of the hood instead of towards it. and if you add heat on the edge that is cut it will naturally want to shrink and pull away. I am a perfectionist so either it comes out perfectly or I redo it. I was very happy with the way the hood came out and took me about 1.5hrs. as you can see the hood has body lined then curves down unlike most hoods so it took me longer to work those sides. there are 2 curves this hood because it’s wider near the windshield than the front of the hood so that curve mixed side to side curve was a bit challenging because the vinyl wants to pull in different directions but i would lift up the side , add a small amount of heat apply pressure with the felt squeegee or bare hand or glove , working its way down. once i got to the edge i would add a little heat pull down 90* trim it to wrap under the hood about 1/2” and apply a little heat and smooth pressure to give it the final permanent adhesion. This vinyl is very trainable and will return to original shape when heat is applied. I’m not sure about the hex pattern but the previous carbon fiber wrap by Vvivid would. First time using this textured vinyl. It's pretty forgiving and easy to apply. Make sure to use a heat gun to activate the adhesive. Will definitely try it on the interior and other places for an accent.

I'm not a pro, but would easily call myself amateur plus. I wrap, tint, and overall put film on all kinds of automotive and home applications with 99.9% successful results. Whenever possible I use Vivid products, they always tend to work well and have great quality but the large honeycomb pattern is not the one you want. I purchased 10x5 ft to do a hood (more than enough) and some spare pieces, and have some left over. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way. The pattern looks nice, but it makes the film very weak along the honeycomb lines. I was laying the first piece in my garage on a 60 degree day, no additional heat applied and my fingers split the film while readjusting the fit on my hood. Ripped straight down the pattern line. I removed that piece and used my other 5x5 ft piece to start over. Towards the end of the second piece I could not get the film to shrink or curve at all. It wanted to bunch up and crease. Again, I've wrapped many hoods, not my first time, so I know how to do this, it just would not shrink. The entire $90 piece and I didn't get a single hood out of it. Had to trash both pieces. Pros: pattern looks great; works well on small, flat applications; creases come out with minimal heat; air realease works well Cons: Weak due to pattern; no ability to curve in a single direction or tension in multiple directions; can't lift and shift without risking a rip; out $90 on a 5x10 sheet because it won't work on a larger application.

Awesome stuff, nice and strong and looks great. Don't underestimate how much the right ambient temperature will help when applying. Too hot out and it'll stick way too hard when applying, too cold and it can be brittle.

Looks Amazing Seriously Updated the interior , Did not like the Wood Interior is almost complete it goes on so smooth I didn’t have to use the smoothing tool except for thin areas around the cup holder portion which was tricky but owing slow and patience was needed and it turned out Fantastic I love the Pattern much better than the overplayed Carbon Fiber I like different so Thank You , This was my very first time ever wrapping anything so it was not perfect but it’s good enough for us .

I think there’s a QC issue with these wraps. I bought two rolls and the first roll I used had major issues with sticking. Haven’t tried the second roll yet but most of the first roll was wasted with all kinds of adhesion problems.
